Grand Hotel Central Barcelona

This hotel was amazing. It was beautifully decorated, all the staff was helpful and welcoming - everyone went out of their way to ensure we were enjoying their stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and lovely. The location is fantastic with plenty of restaurants and sites to walk to. The restaurant CanBo was great - I typically don't go to hotel restaurants but went their twice. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband, teenage son, another couple, and I recently stayed four nights at Grand Hotel Central Barcelona. There are so many hotels from which to choose in Barcelona I spent a great deal of time narrowing the search to a few hotels and eventually landed on this one. We couldn’t have had a more pleasant stay in Barcelona! I booked our room through Amex Fine Resort and Hotel Collection which gave us daily breakfast for two, upgraded room, and a $100 USD credit. Check in was seamless and incredibly friendly. Our rooms looked exactly as in the hotel photos. Beds were very comfortable and quiet with free bottled water and coffee station. Every member of staff we encountered was delightfully helpful and friendly. The concierge team assisted us in arranging tours and planning our entertainment. Breakfast was excellent every morning, but I don’t think we would have paid 29 Euros per person for it. The location is perfect and made it very easy to walk to most attractions. We were initially concerned about safety and pickpockets after researching Barcelona, but we immediately felt at ease in this location. My son and his friend were safe to explore about a 1 mile radius from the hotel without any issues. We also loved the rooftop terrace and would have afternoon and evening cocktails there. If we ever return to Barcelona, I cannot imagine staying elsewhere.

Very convenient location, attentive staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Located in El Born, close to Gotic quarter and central to a lot of monuments, churches, etc. Stayed at the beginning and end of our trip and was our favorite. All staff is top notch!

She’s soo kind and gave us all the tips and guidance we needed as if we were family ✨ The staff at the restaurant both during breakfast and at dinner were amazing… how they remembered our choice of eggs 🌟We felt safe all the time… Mr. “Marruecos” was the Best! We will definitely come back to stay! Mercy!

We stayed at Grand Hotel Central in Barcelona with our three children, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. First, I have to mention the outstanding booking process – Diego and Marta were incredibly helpful in securing the perfect room setup for our family at a great rate. The hotel itself is brand new and absolutely stunning, with a perfect location in El Born, one of the most charming areas of Barcelona. The narrow streets, unique galleries, and vibrant atmosphere make it a fantastic place to stay, with easy access to everything the city has to offer. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, which is not always the case in city-center hotels. The service was excellent, with the entire staff eager to assist and make our stay enjoyable. Though we didn’t get the chance to use it, the rooftop pool looks incredible – definitely something to try next time. And speaking of next time… we were so impressed that for our upcoming trip to Barcelona in three months, we canceled another hotel just to stay here again! That alone says it all. Some reviews mention construction on the street, but we didn’t feel it at all – it had zero impact on our stay. Highly recommended!
