This hotel is perfectly located to walk to almost everywhere...we walked to the beach, Sagrada Familia, Gaudi houses, Arc, Picasso museum and numerous fun neighborhoods with great tapas (our favorite was Colom in the Gothic District...always lines outside but there is a reason!). The staff are numerous and always cheerful and helpful with anything you need. The room was great ...3 separate sections with the bedroom being spacious. Nice coffee in room and daily water and chocolate! Would definitely return and recommend.

The hotel is located in the most convenient area and the staff are not to be beat. Paul at the front desk was particularly helpful. He alerted us to a yoga class on Friday morning in the most beautiful space on the 8th floor. He also suggested (although quite chilly out) that we might enjoy the view from the rooftop pool area. And we definitely did! Housekeeping was lovely. They provided complimentary water (even when I asked for more than my fair share!) and other little treats. Water pressure in the shower was perfect as was hot water. One thing my husband always notes is the sound as he finds it difficult to sleep if unduly noisy. We found this hotel to be peaceful and restful. There is an associated restaurant which is located on the premises which is a great place to stop for a pre-dinner drink, dinner itself or a post-dinner libation.

I recently returned from a business trip to Barcelona and stayed at the Grand Hotel Central. I have never had a better experience with a European hotel ever. The hotel is immaculate....very pretty and very well-kept. The rooms were wonderful and good sized. Breakfast was delicious and room service was perfect for what it was. However, the most amazing part was the service. I came down with food poisoning and everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to help. They called doctors for me, offered me juice and tea for free to help me feel better, and continuously checked up on me. I was so impressed. I am never staying anywhere else any time I travel to Barcelona.

Situated between the vibrant El Born and the historic Gothic Quarter, the hotel provides guests with easy access to major attractions and the beach. Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Barcelona's cultural and architectural landmarks.

The rooms are super stylish and well designed. Beds could be a little more comfortable. The rooftop patio is the star of this hotel. Some lovely staff and hotel manager. Small issues were handled appropriately. I’d definitely return to this hotel.
