H10 Casanova

Total misrepresentation of a 4* hotel with air con. We chose this for a couples weekend away from our kids to REST and checked specifically to see that they had air con. It turns out that the air con only works in the day time and after that it’s centrally controlled heating ie so hot you can’t sleep aside from a massive fan. The fan is loud and dries you out, so it doesn’t help you sleep. Staff are not at all surprised when you complain because it clearly happens all the time. They offer a pathetic one word apology and are not even trained in apologising with empathy or finding a solution. The rooms are gorgeous and clean, beds and pillows very comfortable. But what’s the point when you’re boiling and not sleeping?! Location great. Pretty lobby. Facilities like the pool and gym are photographed well and executed poorly. They are way smaller than the photos. Don’t bother with this property. It’s a waste of the premium you pay.

Room was very clean and the staff were so nice! The hotel is near the metro where you can get to many places in Barcelona and not that far from airport. I was first introduced to H10 hotels when I went on my honeymoon to Rome and this hotel chain is the best ! I just knew it was going to be the same in Barcelona and it was. They had the room set up so nice for us and made sure we were comfortable. Will be staying back at this hotel in the future !

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Barcelona. Lovely comfortable rooms that surprisingly given its central position are nice and quiet. Joined the H10 rewards scheme to get the best price, and got welcome chocolates on the first night, and an invite for a complementary cocktail in the hotel bar, both unexpected and a lovely touch! Didn’t eat in the restaurant, instead went for breakfast in the brunch cafe opposite, which was lovely too. The staff in the bar and on reception were very helpful and friendly, and a credit to the company. All in all had a lovely weekend stay at the Casanova, and would return in a heart beat.

Very nice refurbished 1800 something building. Completely modernized. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff.Excellent location,nice rooms are average size for Europe.Easy access tub/ shower. We would come again with one important caveat. We were in a room on the road in front of the hotel. The nighttime traffic noise and especially the loud talking and yelling virtually all night made sleep very difficult. Request a quiet room or a move to a quiet room after experiencing a sleepless night. Better yet, request a back room upon making your reservation.Local buses run all night and I think there is a bus stop here which may account for the loud people.

Lovely hotel staff really friendly always had a smile .Great location loved the roof top area for relaxing after all the sight seing and shopping westher was great to .Will definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in Barcelona hopefully very soon
