A living museum, Barcelona is a fitting home for the design savvy Gran Derby Hotel. This Derby Hotels Collection is its own intimate work of art, beginning in its spacious suites and guest rooms that pair contemporary décor with works by Salvador Dalí and other notable artists. And if you find yourselves hungry for even more art, you can slip over to sister property, Hotel Derby, to admire the Miró lithographs at Epsom restaurant.

Wonderful customer service, great location, and good breakfast. I would return to this hotel. It’s a great value for the level of customer service you receive and convenient location! There is also an amazing 5-star restaurant right next to the hotel. My mom and I were able to try their winter four course special at a very reasonable price…we will return.

Laura at the Reception was sensational, we will be back to try the rest of her restaurant recommendations.

Nice and comfortable hotel in a quiet neighbourhood with very helpful and friendly staff at the reception. The rooms were large, very clean and elegantly decorated. The bathroom was well stocked too. Room WiFi was patchy. Short walk to either Entenca or Hospital Clinic metro stations with several cafes enroute. Special mention to Cheesemakers, near Entenca.

Overall I am satisfied. But to get there was a bit of a bumpy road. The check in was quick and nice. The staff over all are very friendly. I got room 49. A room that is a one or maximum two star room. It was worn down and with a window towards a wall. Felt dirty, I found dark long hair in many places. But I asked for another room and was moved to 641. 641 is a room on the top floor with a huge terrace with windows that bring in daylight. But no view….as the terrace is towards an inner yard with normal residential houses. A newly renovated room. Nice but nothing special. Best thing is the night light in the bathroom that goes on automatically. By the floor in an orange low light. Even in this room though I found a lot of long dark hair. But I pointed that out and it was much better cleaned the day after. Clearly the housekeeping is not top notch. The breakfast is good. Mainly cold but you can order eggs and bacon. So perfect for everyone. The hotel is a bit off. Not close to anything, but you have a metro stop just a couple of minutes away.
