Open your eyes to verdant tree-lined streets, a vibrant atmosphere embracing the arts, and the beautiful sunshine and weather of the Mediterranean, as you arrive at the Hotel Sofia. Located in the heart of Barcelona's bustling shopping and business center, and just minutes from the sea, you will experience this city in style. Plush rooms are bright and inviting, crafted with soft pastel tones and dark, rich wood furniture and accents. Sunlight streams through large picture windows, while city views and the Mediterranean in the distance will take your breath away. Luxurious bathrooms offer complete serenity, while all the modern amenities and services leave you feeling like royalty. Relax and enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer from the lap of luxury at the Hotel Princess Sofia.
Wake to a beautiful day on your first morning, and enjoy a fabulous breakfast at Contraste Restaurant or at iQ smart fresh food, with a menu carefully designed by a nutritionist. Venture out for the day to discover this amazing city, and start with a stroll down the famed La Rambla. Enjoy fantastic and eclectic shopping, vibrant street performances, and delightful cafés where you can sit, relax and people watch. Make your way to La Sagrada Familia, a magnificent temple designed by Anton Gaudi and begun in 1881, where you can marvel at its massive structure, which is still being constructed today. Continue on to Gaudi's psychedelic Park Guell, on a hill overlooking the city, and enjoy a pleasantly strange afternoon amongst serpentine benches, brilliant tile mosaics, giant decorative lizards, and gingerbread-styled houses. In the afternoon stop in at a lovely café for a true taste of Barcelona and enjoy fabulous fresh seafood and pintxos, the delightful tapas-styled local snacks. Take the rest of the afternoon to relax with a sail along the Mediterranean coast, or be moved by an astounding performance at the Gran Teatre del Liceu or L'Auditori. That night, return to the hotel for a well-deserved massage at AQUA Diagonal Spa, then enjoy a fun-filled dinner in the hotel's very own German Biergarten. At Hotel Sofia, every day is truly this magical.

To whom it may concern: Bon Dia. My name is Mr. R Kemp, I am the owner of an event planning company specializing in global pharmaceutical Meetings (CRT Meetings). I have had the opportunity to work with the Hyatt chain for over 25 years. The Hyatt group has hosted my meetings all over the world. We hosts over 50 large 3- day events with the average attendance of 250 pax. Not only do I use the Hyatt group, but I often use other Hotel brands. I can safely say, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to hotels and their quality, service, etc. I have had the pleasure of staying at your property twice now in the last month or so. I'm not one to normally write reviews unless things have gone very badly. In this case, the complete opposite. My first visit was Jan 30-31, my father was attending a clinic visit in BCN and is up there in years. We had the pleasure of staying for two nights, my mother, father and myself. From the minute we walked through the door until the time we left, we were treated like royalty. Especially my parents. First class treatment from every department. Front desk, bellman, concierge, hostess at the bar and the F&B staff in the restaurant. Every single person that we interacted with was amazing, courteous, respectful, thoughtful and genuinely caring towards my parents. This was my first stay at your property. Truely, impressed. So much so, that a few weeks later, I had the need to stay in BCN again, this time for 8 days. Of course, after the initial visit it was easy for me to tell the taxi driver to take me to the Grand Hyatt and I would take my chances that there would be a room available. (I hadn't made a reservation). As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with familiar faces and warm "welcome back" smiles. It was a lovely feeling. So, as I mentioned, I was a guest for 8 days. EVERY single day, I was treated the same way as the first time I had visited. Truely personalized treatment, welcoming, absolute professionalism, courteous and always with smiles. I don't know how, maybe it's in your hotels training programs, but everywhere I turned, walking past the front desk or past the concierge desk, people would stop me and always greet me with a smile and hello Mr. Kemp how are you today. Is there anything I can do for you today. Honestly, it was very, very nice. I felt like I was in a home away from home. I mean that. Not to go into boring details, I took a turn for the worse, health wise during my stay. I didn't think the level of treatment could possibly improve from the standard that I had already received, but it did. Incredible. Every single member of your staff could not have more caring, understanding, worried for my well-being and genuinely wanting to help in any way they could. It was really heartfelt and genuine. I will never forget the level of treatment I received, and the impeccable professionalism, human touch and caring treatment has cemented my already high expectations and loyalty to the Hyatt hotel brand. As I previously mentioned, in most cases I am a guest of the Hyatt attending Pharma meetings that I have awarded to your group sales dept. I typically get treated very well as you can imagine. In these two stays that I had the pleasure of, not once was my company mentioned in the initial reservation or throughout my stay. The service received was 100% genuine. So now on to the people. I dont know some of the names but I can describe and hopefully the people concerned receive the recognition that they deserve, and they truly deserve as much recognition as possible. 1. Albert Puigantell Amazing person and staff member! Greeted and welcomed my mother, father and myself the first stay and the second. What a professional, always smiling, courteous and would do anything for you. He greeted me on the second stay. If you recall I had no reservation; Albert took care of me immediately and checked me in. I was unsure of my departure date and we kept in good communication throughout the stay. Albert was my first interaction with the Grand Hyatt BCN. He immediately set the level of service at 100% plus. Having Albert on the front desk is of course great for people like me and guests arriving but in my humble opinion, this individual is destined to rise within the organization. I hope he does, as he deserves it. I would not hesitate to plan events in the future with the Grand Hyatt knowing that you have staff like Albert. 2. Issac at the concierge desk. Wonderful, professional and caring individual. I was concerned about the date of my car rental return. Issac helped with reaching out to the company and resolving the issue for me, which was not an easy task due to rental companies lack of response. Also, Issac was instrumental in arranging a Dr. visit to my room and without Issac pushing me, I probably would not have seen a Dr. let alone go to the hospital. Thank you. Issac. By your actions I made a good recovery. 3. Mikel ? I think this is how you spell the name. Mikel works as a bellman and was truly wonderful to my mother and father and myself on our first visit. Always taking the time to speak to my parents. He made them feel special and welcomed and my mother thought he was wonderful. The second visit, Mikel again was amazing to me. Always smiling and welcoming. What was incredible was that after I returned from the hospital to the hotel. Mikel ran over to the Farmacia and filled my Dr. prescription. Amazing, not only that, he refused to take any of my money for the medicine. Mikel, I cannot thank you enough my friend. Thank you. 3. Raquel - The hostess at the bar/ restaurant area. Raquel was really amazing, always smiling, thoughtful and very respectful to my parents. To my surprise, I was gifted a lovely card from Raquel which on behalf of the restaurant staff wished my father all the best of luck and well wishes from the whole team. The note also said, that if there is anything that the team could do to help with my father's stay then they would be there for him. This gesture was incredibly kind and will not be forgotten. The second of my stays, I was delighted to bump into Raquel again and she was just the same as the first time, this time focusing on my health and well being and going way out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and taken care off. Thank you so much, Raquel.. You are amazing!! Raquel is another staff member that really needs to be recognized, she really is a wonderful ambassador for your hotel. 4. Victor, the barman. Great Individual, we shared laughs, stories and solved the world's problems together. Has great taste in food and came up with some wonderful choices for restaurants. Spent a few hours with Victor whenever he was working, and he certainly is a wonderful asset to your hotel. Hopefully see you in a few weeks, Victor. There are many people I don't know the names of, but I can try to describe. They all contributed to an amazing two stays and are the reason I will be back. Lourdes, the hostess at the Bar/Restaurant. Wonderful person. Great to talk with and was always looking out for me. Thank you Lourdes. Keep up the dream :-) The Chef who made me homemade chicken noodle soup from scratch when I was unwell. Thank you so much!! Who ever you were. Best soup I've ever eaten. The lovely lady who worked in the bar/restaurant area who made me fresh herbal tea every morning, I can't recall her name, but she also works sometimes in the coffee/tea shop in the hotel. She was amazing and was always taking care of me. I can't wait to see her again and find out her name so I can write a special review just for her. I'm sure I'm missing people. But please know, that with these people working at your hotel you can be assured that the service you provide will be top class. I don't think training does this, sure it helps, but these people are just 100% the best at what they do and that comes from their heart and not a training manual. Thank you all and if I have missed anyone, I'm really sorry but you know who you are!!!!!! Thank you all. R. Kemp

Family of 3 from Boston MA, with 11yo. As globalist picked this hotel for our 5d stay. Hotel is newly renovated and upscale. A taxi driver informed us this used to be called Sofia hotel. Our room was very upscale and modern. We requested two bed(single and double) and they accommodated all that before we arrived. The breakfast (included for globalist) is phenomenal. Three stations: hot, cold and spanish jamon. Sadly due to time of year the pools were closed. The gym is very modern. Between 5 to 7 pm, there is tapas (included for globalist). Several times we took advantage of this after a very tiring day when we had no energy to go out for nice dinner. Practically adjacent to hotel is a large shopping mall (Cortes Ingles)

Breakfast was amazing, helpful concierge but also the other personal were there to support in any kind of way. Rooms are spacious and clean Hotel is near Camp Nou so for a visit to a soccer match of Barcelona this is the right spot to be. Highly recommended
