Stay here!

Great service at check in, warm friendly welcome. Received a spacious upgraded room at arrival. Breakfast buffet is delicious and plentiful, lots of food options, including gluten free. I highly recommended staying at the Intercontinental when in Barcelona.

Not a fan. Not returning.

Great location and that's about it. Somewhat friendly staff except for one house keeping staff was weirdly awkward. She raced past us in the corridor without acknowledging us just so she can go clean a room. Who does that at a 5-star hotel? Where are your manners? And this same person supposedly tidied our room but did a poor job. Mediocre breakfast. And very uncomfortable soft bed with thick mattress protector.

LUXURY AND AMENITIES APLENTY AT THIS WONDERFUL HOTEL!

This is now our favorite hotel in Barcelona! The room was large, bed very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. We’ve stayed in other similarly-priced hotels where the room never really cooled down. We were extremely pleased with the comfort of our room… functional furniture, spacious living area, a nice bathroom. The spa is something special and we splurged for an hour of its’ use…sauna, steam room, cold plunge, a spa and pool with various waterfalls and jets, and your own designated heated lounger. This proved to be a great way to unwind after the stress of travel. There is a rooftop pool and a large terrace that would be lovely in good weather…we had rain. We found the staff here to be pleasant and professional and we liked the location. It is in a quieter neighborhood and has its own taxi stand which makes it wonderfully convenient to go anywhere you want. I recommend SEC RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST (eggs Benedict were delicious) or brunch.…it is across the street and was perfect when we didn’t want to eat at the hotel. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Barcelona.

Kindness goes a long way

Unfortunately I became very ill in Barcelona. The team at this hotel went above and beyond to assist me. Their concern and care was like none I had ever experienced. I am forever grateful for them!! Specifically Gema and Marc in concierge, and Elber who worked the front door. Thank you for being so incredible kind, thoughtful and generous!!

Stylish! Cool views from roof top pool

Lovely hotel (apart from the Halloween themed night, ugh). However excellent staff, super service and good breakfast (scrambled egg often cold even though it’s straight out of the kitchen). Sumptuous and stylish spaces. Would come again, location is away from central buzz. View of the National art gallery from our window 👍.
