Fantastic small luxury hotel in the gothic section of Barcelona.
We have traveled extensively. Finishing our seventh continent this trip. This hotel and its staff are among the very best we have experienced. The staff were friendly, warm and personable. They were always willing to accommodate any needs we had. The room was lovely and comfortable. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the historic gothic quarter. You can walk into history, lovely tapas and wine right out of your door. In the hotel you have a lovely tapas and wine bar, a favorite of ours. The hotel bar was superior. The main hotel restaurant is a dining experience you should not miss. Expect to be surprised and delighted. The world is a big place and we try not to repeat experiences but we are already planning to come back to Barcelona and the Mercer Hotel.

Excellent hotel and location
Wonderful hotel with great location in the Gothic Quarter built on part of the Roman wall. The hotel is very beautiful. We had a comfortable room with warm and friendly staff. I wish we could have stayed longer! We had breakfast included with delicious coffee and food offerings.

Best hotel in Barcelona
We had an incredible stay at this hotel in Barcelona! The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of everything. It was easy to explore the city and return to the comfort of our room whenever we wanted. The hotel is stunning, quaint historical and with the restaurant La Bouchon on the property is a sweet deal. The staff, especially Stefano, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

great trip. Luca and the entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. i would def stay there again. we had a great time. location was amazing, breakfast was very good. rooms and hotel are beautiful. cant wait for our next trip to Barcelona and the mercer.

A Gem in Barcelona
The Mercer is a gem! The staff amazing! They go above and beyond for you! It is a quiet refuge combining modern and ancient architecture. The location in the Gothic quarter makes it walkable to many of Barcelona’s sights. Plenty of great restaurants nearby.
