Amazing view from the gym I loved it! I also recommend the Dj set at the rooftop wow incredible bar and experience we had … so modern and the workers so friendly… I think guests have preference on the list to get in the restaurants and parties so I went right away … such a vip experience.. Also really like the pool with the view to the litle beach such peaceful vibe…

Still decided to stay here after struggled by many negatives reviews since I’m a big Fan of W & wanna stay by the beach. As a Lifetime Platinum Elite Member I did not receive suite upgrade which I can always understand it’s only subject to availability, the room was quite small so I was wondering even no suite upgrade were there any better room instead say a cool corner ? The BONVōY app response was great ! Very efficient & helpful, the concierge too even better than Amex Centurion. Omelette from breakfast is one of the best among many hotels. It really upset me when checkout that I waited long for the bell boy & I almost late for the flight so I couldn’t wait & had to carry 2 baggage & 2 hand carry by myself so stupid. Night before I requested to the lady at reception to schedule a bell boy to my room at 10am but she replied there will be a full team so don’t bother the bell boy to wait for me since I may be late ! So the client has to wait for the bell boy instead ? What kind of services mentality is that ? One of my worst experience on luggage services !!

Truly awful service. I walked past the hotel and asked about having a drink at the bar. I was told there was a dress code which we were fine for and went inside. As I walked into the foyer, a security guard ran across the floor from outside after us shouting ‘Boys’ and asking where we were going and told us ‘he was in charge’ (seriously, we laughed). We were told we were fine for the bar but we couldn’t take a bag inside but could ask reception to hold it. Chaotic and not great. I went to the receptionist, who I think may have been the reception manager. This is where it became awful. She interrupted and said ‘are you staying in the hotel?’ I explained the situation and she said ‘but the dress code is elegant..?’ We were dressed absolutely fine. She asked ‘just to know… what hotel are you staying in?’ as if the receptionist could pass a judgement on our hotel choice. She invited us for a drink downstairs announcing again that we are not staying in the hotel. At this point, I am so glad I am not staying at this hotel. It’s complete madness. We had a drink downstairs (had to go the bar directly as the waiters didn’t come) and left. Everyone seemed on edge. The whole thing was bizarre. Untrained, overfamiliarity and quite frankly misplaced delusions of grandeur from the hotel staff. Reality is that I have spent £24k this in year with Marriott Bonvoy and enquired about staying in this hotel in April for three weeks whilst at a business school conference nearby. Having read the reviews, I didn’t stay, and having experienced the hotel, I am so glad I didn’t.

Absolutely fantastic stay at the W Barcelona from the hotel service to the gorgeous views of Barcelona. The hotel also has wonderful facilities from the gym to the pool. We were in room 2014 which was fantastic so would highly recommend a room facing east toward Sagrada Familia and the side of Barcelona. Also as a Titanium Elite Member, I was offered complimentary breakfast in the SALT restaurant (although this rotates) which was delicious. There was both a buffet as well as a menu to order from. Finally, definitely go for a run long along the sea from the W. It is memorable!

Liked the hotel a lot - stayed here for a conference and really enjoyed it. Being where it is is a plus and minus and getting there by boat from the bottom of Las Ramblas was a different way to arrive As a one off this is a great place to stay and the rooms have fantastic views. Not sure that I’d use it as a base for Barcelona but great for a few days of luxury
