The Charter needs a refresh from the 1990’ heavy wood decor and decorations. The formula seems to be the preferred style in the area. Nestled in the Vail/Eagle Beaver Creek valley this is a lovely resort hotel within a condominium for owner-vacationers. B435 has a lovely view from the tiny room with two queen beds. Only one of the two windows opened which would have allowed fresh air to enter. It would have been nice to have functioning TV! The vintage bathroom needs a walk-in shower rather than archaic curtain rod & tub with NO grab bars…really… Senior be aware of the “step in & over” tub hazard too… The personnel at the front desk and dining room were attentive & courteous as well as knowledgeable about local transportation options/shuttle. Fresh coffee in the reception longe area was great! Given an opportunity, we will come back; however, I know I would investigate the type of room options before committing.

The Location is great but the rooms and service area really a disaster. For a very expensive room is unacceptable that it has no air conditioning and worst the answer of their front des, that they call concierge: first night, we have no one on service to fix it, next morning: no single construction in Colorado has air conditioning. Not a single day my room was cleaned, It is a very overpriced place. there is no restaurant available after 10 or in the breakfast time, they had a guy selling breakfast burritos, 10 times more expensive than in a 7 eleven and with half of the quality.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have encountered. My wife and I stayed at this hotel through a family member booking. As it was off-season, the hotel seemed like it should have ample rooms available. Upon getting in our room, the TV would not connect to anything (kept buffering). There were two separate TV remotes with no instructions on which to use to properly connect to TV. I am pretty tech-savvy and tried everything to connect. I go to call the front desk for help and the phone was dead! Had to call hotel via my cellphone and after waiting sometime for someone to answer, which no one ever did, had to walk down to the desk to report issue and a maintenance worker showed up a short time later. At 7:30am the next morning, construction workers were grinding and drilling the concrete floor in the room next to ours making a teeth-chattering racket. (Why would you assign a room next to construction in a hotel with room availability!). Person at front desk shrugged and said they were working on floor to repair a loose wall! Went down to have breakfast in restaurant and it was closed due to off season. Complimentary coffee in lobby was either missing or empty half the time. Only thing available was a terrible breakfast sandwich under a heat lamp and orange juice which cost $37 for two people. Mattress was hard as a rock. The next day, we went to the room to take a nap at 3PM before an evening party that night and this time, construction workers were making a racket working on the roof above our room (are they doing this on purpose?) :- ( They did halt them after we called the front desk. Icing on the cake came yesterday when we got a late bill for $120 for three days parking! The management of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Went for a ski trip. Venue had convenient shuttle for the short trip to the mountain or village. Beaver Creek village also has a shuttle that you can summon by app. My condo was clean and spacious. Daily room service for trash collection and clean towels. Ski rental onsite. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

The front desk waited until two bus loads of groups had all been placed into their units, instead of getting my unit ready by housekeeping even though I had arrived an hour earlier. I waited for two hours in their lobby. The best practice would have been to have housekeeping finish preparing my unit before the desk was slammed by the busses, that they knew were coming. I cannot recommend The Charter. There seems to be a lack of common sense at their front desk.
