Aman Summer Palace

Aman Summer Palace is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea! Highly recommend for the beautiful scenery and customer service. The tea room is nestled behind a traditional Beijing hotel, perfect for immersing yourself in the Chinese culture. Definitely make a reservation for the tea room, you won’t regret it!

Had a tranquil stay in the beautiful room and exploring the grounds. The extensive made to order breakfast menu was delicious. The gym was the best hotel gym I have ever seen. Spacious with all manner of machines and equipment such as a prime grip for lat pulldowns and pilates reformer. The spa treatment was superb and relaxing. The direct entrance to the Summer Palace is convenient.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-day stay at The Aman. It’s a beautiful and peaceful setting in the heart of Beijing. They have kept the furniture and buildings in the old style with lots of gorgeous wood lattice work in the rooms. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Also, we reserved a few tours through the hotel which were top notch. Our tour guide David was amazing. He taught us a lot about China and its interesting history.

Terrific place, immersion into the atmosphere of Summer palace. The best staff: extremely helpful and nice (arranged a breakfast box for us, as we were leaving very early; easily arranged a dinner on terrace; anticipated any wish). The best location: gives you direct access to the Summer palace, and ensures a calm and relaxing atmosphere in the evening (feeling that you are not even in the city, but jus surrounded by nature). Amazing facilities: restaurants are all delicious and provide great choice of meals. Great rooms: at the same time modern and traditional. Strongly recommend to stay in this magic place!

Just checked out from Aman Summer Palace few days ago and we have a pleasant experience there. We arrived early at the hotel, around 7am. Check in time is 3pm. My husband had fever and we needed a place to rest. The weather was cold and we sat at the lobby lounge to kill time. At that point, I overheard one of the staff, Ms Fiona asked her colleague if it is possible to get the room ready because the guest is tired. I was touched. At around 11+am, Ms Fiona approached us and informed us that the room is ready. We are very pleased with her attentiveness. My husband had a good rest and recovered well from the flu. It was a comfortable stay at this hotel. We were there for 3 days and for all these days we were attended with utmost warmth. I was impressed to see the prompt room service despite the peak season. Every need was catered with utmost perfection making us feel so important. Oh and if you ever visit this hotel during Autumn, please try the pear drink 小吊梨汤 served by the hotel. It is amazing and I could not find the same taste elsewhere in Beijing. The staff, Ms Fiona informed us that the pear drink is freshly prepared daily for the guests during Autumn season. I will go back to this hotel again just for this drink! Once again, thank you Ms Fiona and the wonderful team for the impressive service. We will definitely visit Aman Summer Palace again with our kid next time.
