Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort

Check in was well organised, we met our host Adrien. The resort is beautiful and luxurious, our room was very spacious and more like a suite. The restaurants were lovely, food and service were excellent. The Ice cream bar was frequently visited. The Cavendish bar was lovely and relaxing with great service. We visited and ate at the Golf club, with complimentary golf cart based transfers. The adult only pool area and pool were good, although the pool was too warm and I wish there were Sunbeds with shades that were not positioned on sand. The pool area service was excellent. Unfortunately my partner was taken unwell (nothing to do with the hotel) and we spent 4 days in a private hospital. The hotel medical staff and Adrien were really helpful and supportive throughout. We were able to enjoy a final 3 days and were allowed to check out late and offered 2 free nights if we stay again. We would definitely recommend this hotel

My wife and I spent two weeks at Heritage Le Telfair for our honeymoon earlier this month. We stayed in a sea view suite with the Gourmet Bliss package. From the minute you arrive at this stunning hotel you feel immediately looked after as you are appointed a host to take care of your restaurant bookings and any other needs you may have. There is a real feeling of space and calm when you walk throughout the resort and you are always greeted with a lovely, genuine welcome from all of the staff. The food is absolutely incredible, without exception. The highlights for us were Le Chateau De Bel Ombre and Gin’ja, however the food and service throughout the resort is exceptional. Gin’ja became our firm favourite and is an Asian Fusion restaurant with an incredible sushi selection along with a teppanyaki table. We were expertly looked after on each visit and having dined there on three separate occasions, the standard remained impeccable throughout. Quick mentions to Bauwish who was our waiter for two of our visits, including a lovely beachfront romantic dinner. The pride he has in his work is so very clear to see and the service he provided was wonderful. Jonathan (at the Gin’Ja bar) and Valentin both need a mention for being very friendly and again, looking after us very well. All of the staff were wonderful but we didn’t manage to take everyone’s name otherwise I would happily mention them all! We tried a few of the watersports and all of the guys who work there are really friendly and helpful. We also took advantage of both the glass bottom boat and snorkelling trips, both of which give a really good introduction to the diverse sea life within the lagoon. All of the staff at the main pool bar ensured they always had a beer ready for me, and a glass of champagne for my wife! Special mentions must go to Salomon, Isaac, Lovenish and Eddy for always being very attentive and great fun to chat with. Jeena at the Cavendish Bar is so lovely, and she recommended a different rum for me every night! It became a ritual to go and see Jeena each evening for a rum recommendation and because of her, I tasted varieties I would perhaps never have experienced. We really couldn't fault a thing and we're looking forward to returning as soon as we can.

This is the best resort ever for relaxation in wonderful surroundings with excellent service from the nicest people, especially our host Ashni who organised everything we wanted to do during our stay. Dinners, golf, lunches, safaris and sunset cruise. The spa, water sport centre and the gym brilliant. For us the adults section is great. Cannot wait to come back next year.

We had another great holiday at Heritage Le Telfair. Our room was beautiful with a view of the ocean. It was kept very clean by Deviani our housekeeper. Only criticism was that the balcony area was never swept or cleaned during our two week stay. It really should be on the rota. The restaurants are all excellent especially Gin'ja and Le Chateau de Bel Ombre. Sheetal at Le Chateau deserves a mention. Cavendish bar is elegant. All the staff are very attentive. Kailash, Jeena, Jonathon and so many more! Our Resident Host, Melvin, met with us on a daily basis and could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The Golf Courses are fabulous. The Caddy team are so helpful and do a great job at both Le Chateau and La Reserve courses. La Reserve course is beautiful but challenging - take plenty golf balls! Also, the bar staff at both courses are very attentive. The sunbeds could do with refurbishment. They are tired. We will be returning hopefully next year for another memorable holiday. The menus between different restaurants are way too standardized, despite eating at different restaurants, I felt like I was eating the same thing over and over again. Unfortunately, the food is average at best. The pad thai at Gin’ja is over salted & the octopus at C Beach Club was overcooked. The only exception is the ale Chateau restaurant - fantastic cooking there. The menu needs to be downsized so chefs can actually specialise in the dishes they serve. I don’t feel that management trains the staff well enough. The general service takes an immensely long time & you’ll struggle to find people to take your order. The Annabella restaurant has stray cats visits. Not that much of a problem in itself but the cat tried to jump on my seat & eat my food. A hotel staff watched me struggle with that cat & didn’t help until the cat gulped down my egg yolk. I felt that a small apology was warranted, a “sorry about the cat” would’ve suffice, but I didn’t get one & honestly his reaction to my reaction of the cat was a little condescending. Good: The WhatsApp concierge system - very convenient (response time could improve) Le Chateau restaurant - amazing good The golf course Beautiful French colonial architecture Nice beach Dressing suites - can shower/ change into swimsuit/ resort wear if you arrive early/ check out early but still want to enjoy the hotel
