our recent stay at SO Sofitel Mauritius, which was an outright failure to deliver the standards you advertise. The following serious issues made our stay unpleasant and unacceptable: 1. Open-Air Tub Issue Despite calling reception three times, waiting for a response, and the staff’s eventual intervention, the problems were “solved” after one hour. Then it took an additional 40 minutes to fill the tub due to leaks, poor water pressure, and no hot water. The open-air tub was a primary reason for booking your property, and this failure ruined our experience. When we raised the issue, a representative claimed, “we don’t manage the water pressure.” This response is absurd—if not management, who is accountable for maintaining the infrastructure and facilities of a luxury property? 2. Incorrect Dinner Timing Your staff misinformed us, stating that dinner started at 6:00 pm, while it actually began at 7:00 pm. This forced us to wait unnecessarily for 20 minutes, disrupting our plans and revealing poor internal communication and a lack of professionalism. 3. Misleading Information About Pool Facilities Upon inquiry, an employee claimed the swimming pool was not equipped to heat, contradicting your website, which states the pool is heated. The water activities be cancelled due to weather conditions and safety reasons, we would understand the pool is not accessible due to the weather condition. This is misleading and indicates a lack of coordination between your advertised amenities on your website and on-site staff. 4. Unprofessional Staff Behavior While present, we overheard staff gossiping in Creole, assuming we wouldn’t understand. When we raised this, the manager’s response—that they “cannot manage what staff say or gossip about”—so it seems “acceptable to gossip about guests in their presence on the premises”. 5. Failure in Basic Housekeeping Standards The cleaner failed to replace towels and cups during the overnight cleaning. Despite staying at a property marketed as a five-star luxury resort, it was shocking to return to a room with used towels and dirty cups still in place. This reflects a lack of attention to basic hygiene and housekeeping standards, further undermining the credibility of your services. Such negligence is entirely unacceptable and further demonstrates a systemic failure in maintaining the quality your guests expect. This has been the worst stars luxury service, not fitting the standards, completely ruined our celebration!

Great experience with the friendliest staff who are always willing to help! The view is amazing and there is quick access to the beach. The extra water activities are a must try (kayaking etc). Very inclusive food options and great variety. Perfect place to relax and take it easy.

Amazing hotel. Had a great stay with my lovely wife. Staffs are really nice especially Vanesha at thr front desk and the whole reception team. Hitel services are very good. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples if they need a romantic and calm atmosphere

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning, we couldn't check in until 3pm. The hotel were very accommodating and made all facilities available to us. The welcoming from the concierge staff was excellent and we felt right at home instantly. The hotel and it's surroundings are immensly beautiful you really feel at peace here. There's so much wildlife and nature here, vibrant colours and beautiful beach and sea. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and you are spoilt for choice. We added a card to the room and charged all drinks to the room which made life easier. My partner and I are both active, there was plenty to do to keep busy. The gym was great, pool clean and lots of walks up and down the beach. Wear footwear on the beach if possible as there is lots washed up coral and shells beautiful to see but painful to step on. (Only a small percentage of areas) the SPA is amazing we had 3 massages over the space of 11 nights. Krystal was excellent. Thank you also too Raj, super friendly and accommodating with everything possible, very polite. The hotel is fully booked but does not feel busy at all, so open and beautiful. We can't wait to come back!!

Absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Staff super friendly and helpful. Gym guy very helpful too. Food amazing and so much choice. Whole hotel has a relax and chill vibe. Very tranquil. Would highly recommend and I will be returning for sure.
