Located right on the Potsdamer Platz, Berlin's most celebrated public square and the busiest intersection in Europe, Grand Hyatt Berlin has its finger on the pulse of the city's business deals and cultural attractions. The hotel is defined by its clean, crisp architectural lines and lofty open spaces - there's an indelible sense of big-city chic here. Even though the best of Berlin surrounds Grand Hyatt, an array of in-house activities might inspire an afternoon in: Winemaker events, sake tastings and cooking classes emphasize the hotel's gourmet-centric philosophy, while an impressive rooftop spa and fitness complex welcomes the weary traveler looking to unwind.

The hotel is good enough for the money you pay. Good location, spacious rooms. Conference facilities. The hotel restaurant Bistro Mitte has good food but the worst service ever seen in such hotel category. This has completely destroyed the impression from this hotel.

Good hotel in a great location if you want to be near PotsdamerPlatz and Brandenberg Gate. Probably not worth paying extra for a city view as there is still no definite guarantee of a city view, but a higher floor is quieter. Large, comfortable room with opening windows and air con so best of both worlds (I prefer to sleep with fresh air). The pool and sauna suite are great. Long opening hours with two good windows for adults only (before 10:00hr and for an hour after 20:00hr). Breakfast buffet: good food and variety but service was a bit chaotic and disorganised. Overall we were happy and the staff always dealt with us quickly and politely.

Wow! As a previous reviewer noted, this is your Berlin hotel choice (especially as a Globalist), period. It's worth mentioning this was a last minute, night prior, booking due to issues at another non-Hyatt Berlin property where we were sufficiently dissatisfied to cancel/ move after one night. Hyatt sure didn't disappoint! At the Grand, we had a fantastic 5 night stay, with an upgrade to a lovely Junior suite, quite unexpected given our last minute reservation. The suite was- (very) quiet, spacious, had a huge bathroom (and closet!), comfy bed, pleasant view...pretty much perfect. Service was gracious, rapid, and cheerful to every request or question. The Club Lounge food and beverages were superb, including at breakfast...we had every intention of trying breakfast at Vox, but never made it due to the great offerings at the Lounge, lol! The evening selections, including the wine (and beer) were way more than 'a notch' above the competition, with evident care and pride taken in the options and presentation...just very classy. (I agree unruly children dampened the experience periodically - but this is a parent issue, not a hotel one. And we witnessed some equally unruly adults, so....) The gym is excellent, very well equipped with a motivating view over the city, although be aware it isn't huge and can feel a bit crowded. Pool/ spa area/ steam bath/sauna shouldn't be missed! We were also happy with the location, being central enough for easy sightseeing and transit, but close to Tiergarten when a bit of green space and calm was needed. I'd highly recommend, and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Lovely stay. Breakfast really nice. Pool area nice, pool a nice cool temperature to swim lengths in. Jacuzzi needs to be warmer. Nice view. Room lovely although thought bed a little hard. Good shower although not rainfall. Taps not mixer taps in bathroom. Amazing relaxing massage. Big sauna and steam room. Dinner good. Allowed to keep room an extra hour which was great as meant I could visit the Berlin Wall Memorial first thing and then enjoy the spa longer before my flight in the afternoon. Will return.

Warm and professional check-in with David. Then shortly after getting to our room, David called to check that everything with our room is to our satisfaction. Unbelievable service which we have never experienced before. Our room was blissfully quiet with blackout curtains and super comfy bed and pillows which ensured great sleep. The complimentary bubbly and chocolates were yum. We had a Grand Suite and with Club access which provided a good selection of food, beer and wine. And breakfast was had at Vox Restaurant which was tops!
