Hilton Berlin

Berlin Hilton belongs to those Hiltons that - even though they have a lounge for eligible customers - breakfast is available in the hotel restaurant only. I had a terrible experience in this respect during my stay. Firstly, I had difficulty finding a table, and when I finally got one I tried to make it look like being occupied, to avoid losing the table. But while I was collecting breakfast items, a waitress had "cleaned" the table, and someone just took it when I was returning. The restaurant offered no "table selection assistance". There were long lines for the buffet items as well as for the coffee automats. Something like an atmosphere of combat prevailed in the restaurant. The supply of items in the buffet did not match the demand. Whether there is a lounge breakfast or not, matters a lot at times of high occupancy. Therefore, Hiltons should make it public on their hotel websites, whether the lounges are "full service" or "evening only". I know from personal experience that some Hiltons have resumed lounge breakfasts following negative customer feedback. In this case, had I known the situation in advance, I would have chosen some other place.

I payed online as soon as I got there the hotel wanted £200 deposit from me! Which I never got told when I payed for the holiday tv only 2 English channels which was news we could not use the tv room could of definitely been better for what I payed really not happy with the service let down and taken 2 lots of money from me! And still not seen anything back . Will not recommend anyone staying

After staying here 4 times in the last 10 years this place after Covid is terrible! Service, rooms and food quality all are much worse than it once was and is what is acceptable for a Hilton. As Diamond members and full time travelers staying over 100 nights in Hiltons around the World in 2024 alone this ranks the worst. No recognition for being Diamond. No upgrade and when asked they lie to your face about an upgrade as their app shows better rooms and they then upgrade you to what they said what was not available. Food quality is poor in general ( expunge and breakfast in the restaurant. Executive lounge is watered down soup and one hot dish which is something fried! Dirty rooms. Dilapidated rooms. Small rooms. An Executive lounge that has no BF and is cutting food costs! Service. Unfriendly staff in general. Unprofessional. Unmotivated. No pride taken in their work. We were so surprised at how this hotel has fallen from our first visit I went to read TripAdvisor reviews and found all my issues confirmed by many negative reviews stating what we are experiencing! I wish we had read the reviews before this visit. Our 10 night stay is a waste of our money and is becoming torturous! (Sorry to sound dramatic) but that’s what it is for us! Shame on this management that allows this state even with many reviews that express our same sentiment! Covid cost cutting that this hotel is taking advantage of still in 2024 and is exploiting to make a buck! Read the TripAdvisor reviews! Extra: the Dome area is currently under renovations and the view is of that construction. There will be no Christmas market there for 2024 and that is not disclosed anyplace. FYI. We did receive an upgrade after they lied several times that there were none. They should of not upgraded us after they said it was NOT available. It only showed the untruth. The lack of respect they show for the management of this property is the same they show toward their paying customers.

No doubt that this hotel which is situated next to Stadmitte underground is conveniently located. A vast complex with restaurants, bars and leisure club is ideal for a stay in Berlin. Staff are really helpful and friendly although I found the concierge could have been more help. Unfortunately I am giving this hotel a poor rating due to the state of my room. On arriving in the room on day one I found it dirty, with a layer of dust over all surfaces. It was obvious these hadn't been cleaned for a while. I wrote "Clean me" with my fingers on 3 different surfaces. During my stay my room was serviced, yet on day 4 the writing was still there. Hotel management need to do a serious review of housekeeping as staff rush through servicing and don't make a decent job. If it wasn't for this I'd have given a high score.

Such a fantastic stay at the Berlin Hilton. A warm welcome on arrival and a sumptuous and spacious family room, with a little teepee for the kids to play in. A really comfortable night’s sleep and the most plentiful breakfast to start the day with everything you could possible wish for and all of the highest quality! Our stay was made even more special by the excellent service we received from Nassim at breakfast time. Nothing was too much trouble and he is a real credit to the Hilton. Thank you all!
