Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

Probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Old school elegance with impeccable service. We were in Berlin to see the sights and check out the Christmas markets, and the location was perfect. Near the Brandenburg gate we could walk to sights like the Jewish Memorial and the Reichstag as well as several Christmas Markets. The staff, from housekeeping and waitstaff to concierge and reception performed their tasks perfectly. We stayed for six nights, and loved getting the free treats which included macarons, chocolates and fresh fruit. The breakfast buffet was the best we've ever experienced. Only three things kept us from giving it five stars. First, our stay was impacted by a conference going on in the hotel that led to security measures being taken that included closing down the street in both directions in front of the hotel. We had to walk two blocks to get our own taxes (as opposed to in front of the hotel), and we had to show ID and proof we were staying in the hotel to enter the two block "zone" surrounding the hotel. Second, there was no place to plug in electronics next to the bed on both sides. We could not keep our phones on the nightstand but had to plug them in and leave them on the floor several feet from the bed. Third, the entire hotel could use a little refreshing. It's not rundown by any means, but furniture and woodwork is scuffed and showing its age, and carpets are showing some signs of wear and tear.

It was my second time in lovely Berlin. An amazing city not only for heritage and art museums, but also for shopping and dining at restaurants. Kempinsky adlon hotel was in a very unique location. You could walk the nice streets there going to museum island and check point Charly and cracker restaurant. The hotel vibe gives you a good mood and the staff are so nice and friendly.The rooms are decorated in a royal style with wood and lights.the hair salon and massage center were excellent as well.

I stayed in Adlon during a conference I was attending in Berlin and loved it. Fantastic historical architecture and impeccable service. The service is really German quality and speed.Rooms are pretty good size considering Europe standards and fairly clean. Bonus is that the hotel is right next to Brandenburger Tor which gives an extra historic touch to the stay. Only drawback is long waits to get in to the breakfast and lobby area.

What struck me most was the peaceful ambiance despite being in the heart of everything. The rooms are sanctuaries of tranquility, with bedding that feels like sleeping on clouds. The staff moves with quiet efficiency, always present but never intrusive. The evening turndown service with those little unexpected treats made each day end on a perfect note

A unique experience, at least once in your life. We are here in something exceptional and unforgettable. The hotel is both modern and very refined. The staff is very friendly and dedicated. Our room was superb and very luxurious. Also, a very high quality restaurant, of perhaps a little cold atmosphere. The breakfast is truly breathtaking, with a huge and refined choice. I have never experienced hotel breakfasts as extraordinary as here. Of course the hotel lounge is an unmissable place, with its famous elephant column. I quickly mention the immediate proximity of the Brandenburg Gate, of the metro line U5,… All this is important but only details as compared to the legendary moment that we spent during our three days at the Adlon.
