Soundproofed windows mean a peaceful night's sleep at Hotel Palace Berlin, whose enviously central location is walking distance from both the conference center and all the temptations of bustling, cosmopolitan Kurfürstendamm, a German version of the Champs-o/oolysées. Those who get down to business will find a full range of support at the hotel, including a two-line conference telephone in their rooms.

Luxurious hotel, but not everything was perfect. Poorly maintained ventilation that resulted in quite hot rooms. Opening a window helped a bit… Breakfast okay if the booking hadn’t been altered by mistake by the hotel and access denied the first morning. (No apologies noted) BEEF45 restaurant was a true pleasure to visit. Very good service and excellent food. House of Gin… no comments. My “goggle” review about this bar resulted in a visiting ban and maybe some legal issues. So leaving a negative review is not ok in Germany 😁

We recently stayed at Hotel Placa Berlin (8-11/10). We had problems with the standard of the hotel rooms we were given, as well as the treatment we received from Mr Skerra at check-out. At check-out, Mr Skerra informed us that there was no point in sending a complaint by email, as he is the one who reads the email and that the complaint would not be taken into account. We tried to inform Mr Skerra of our experiences, especially with the one room of very poor standard. Our stay was grossly overpriced. Our 16-year-old son got the shower head in his forehead when he was taking a shower the night before we left. Said shower head was very dirty. My husband stepped on something wet from the radiator when he was going to open the curtains. The room was outdated and so were the surroundings on the floor. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel which we paid 433 eur per night pr room, we had 2 rooms and a total of eur 2600. This did not include breakfast, which was a whopping 39 € PR PERSON. We politely approached Mr Skerra to express our frustration with the overpriced dated non 5 star rooms. We experienced being accused of lying by Mr Skerra. We offered him to come up to the room with us to show him the problem with the wet carpeting, but he didn't want to. He kept repeating that we should have told him before, but we were not comfortable going down to reception at 10 in the evening when we were leaving the next day and wanted to sleep. We think it should be enough to say the following morning, at check-out. We mentioned the wet carpet problems from a leaking radiator to a hotel employee early in our stay but were told that the hotel was full. Mr Skerra accused us of lying again. We travel a lot and always book 5 star hotel and happily pay the price for modern, quiet and clean rooms. At Hotel Palace we got 2 rooms on two different floors where one room was old, outdated, noisy, leaking radiator, dirty shower head which also fell on our son. Far from 5 stars. As our experience with the martial standard at the hotel was bad, the treatment from Mr Skerra was much worse. Never before have we experienced such a low-service, unpleasant, rude and intimidating approach to us as guests. Disagreeing with us is one thing, being rude is quite another. We reached out again after we came home. We were met with a nice reply from Mr Foedich and finally experienced the attitude one would expect from a 5 star hostel. We were met with apologies and understanding. However we were left with a sparse compensation of a measly €200. So that is how this hotel values its guests. I would most certainly not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

We visited the Hotel Palace last week from Tuesday to Saturday The visit was just amazing. The staff The Hotel and the location where all perfect. 2 busses pass the front of the hotel. The 200 and the 100 and they will take you to all the main attractions. The hotel has amazing rooms and they even do a turn down service in the evening if you need it. Pay a little more for your stay and trust me you will be blown away.

I am really disappointed, I've left their bag with medicines, at the same day I've sent them two emails they never answered. After a few days I came back and asked if they could find a medicines, they were very nice but they couldn't care less and do didn't even bother to help me. If that's the way they are treating their customers they will never see me there again!

The Palace Berlin is a great classic 5* hotel. My top-floor room (#916) was very spacious and featured everything I could ask for. The Gym & indoor pool have been great too, and so were ALL the team members. Location is second to none just between the famous Zoo and KuDam. KaDeWe is a short walking distance, and so is the Bahnhof Zoo. I highly recommend it.
