I loved the property, the restaurant, and the pool. Chris upgraded me to a beautiful suite with a nice living room area. Michael was friendly at the valet and gave me some great restaurant recommendations. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely return. This location is also really close to a lot of restaurants so you can easily walk wherever you want to go.

We got the most amazing upgrade on our visit!! Up to the penthouse we went!! So beautiful. Eunice on the front desk was awesome- so kind and helpful. The star ⭐️ of our visit however would have to be Michael our valet! He was super. Gave us tips, directions, ideas of where to go. So great- thank you Michael! We hope to be back in the not too distant future.

This was the worst stay at a hotel I have ever had. Despite my room being across a dirty ally in a completely separate building, it was also incredibly nasty. However, it was the management team that ruined my stay. They falsely charged a $400 cleaning fee to my room claiming that me, my husband, and my 84 year old mother in-law, who’s on an oxygen tank, smoked in the room. Not only did they wrongfully charge us, they also never notified us that we were being charged. We stayed at this hotel for approximately 8 hours, and now a week later i am discovering a $400 charge on my card. I am still currently trying to contact the manger of this hotel to dispute this charge and no one is answering the phone. I have never experienced such lack of hospitality at an establishment before. They stole my money when the room was extremely overpriced to begin with. DO NOT stay at this hotel if you want to keep your sanity.

My first room was very tiny, and disappointing, but I was staying one night so I settled in. Unfortunately, when I went to take a shower the handle broke off in my hand. I tried to replace it, but it was broken broken - like rusted and snapped off broken. Things are, as noted by others, quite dated and shabby. I was moved to a "studio" across the street, but it was dark, had a musty smell, and had rust and other less-than-clean corners in the bathroom. I won't be staying here again, despite the wonderful staff and attempts to make it a very special, chic place. I would ask for a brand new room, if that's a thing you can do!

If you ever thought you could literally fall in love with a hotel, your journey starts here. Immediately upon driving up to this iconic building, I was greeted by Michael, an attentive and very friendly valet who insisted on not letting me pick up a single bag I brought with me and I brought a lot. Throughout my week long residence at the hotel, Justin, Jose and Emerson gave me the same kind service and treated my car with the utmost care. As I frequently had to travel back and forth for the Film Festival I run, they placed my car in a convenient space in case I needed to hustle out quickly. All wonderful gentlemen. The front desk staff are without a doubt, the finest hospitality crew I've ever encountered and I travel to many places. Eunice and Chris were the first to greet me and made me feel so welcome. When they looked at the reservation and saw that I was here with the film festival, they became so interested in what films we were going to be showing and even took notes as to which films they should seek out in the future. I couldn't believe the attention to detail they gave me. During my week at the Avalon, I was equally treated with such care by Carlo, Jeremy and Maribel. I wish that they were working for me at my festival because they treated me like I was the most important person at the hotel. Plus, they are dog friendly! The room I had, a junior suite, contained the most comfortable mattress I've ever laid upon. This wasn't a standard cheap hotel mattress. Luxurious and inviting, I didn't want to wake up. The decor is simply exquisite. The rooms have Nespresso machines which became an almost obsession. Each time I came down and passed by the front desk, Chris and Eunice would ask if I needed any more coffee pods. Such caring. I wish some of my family treated me with the same cordiality. A rain shower head only adds to the charm of this hotel. The colors that the designer gave my room made me feel that I was on another planet; a place where comfort and joy take priority. I had a microwave, fridge and an honor bar unlike anything I've experienced. Wine and spirits on the top of the bar and a stocked fridge with amazing variety. The pool is always at an even temperature and I was in there every morning. The Viviane restaurant, the hotel's own culinary delight is an experience in itself. I had several meals there and each one was better than the last one. From the pasta to the burger, chicken and the finest poke bowl I've ever had. They also make the finest Old Fashioned cocktail I've ever consumed. I have never felt more depressed when I had to drive away from this wonderful hotel; the place Marilyn Monroe called home in the 1950's. You truly feel you stepped back into a time machine to a simpler and more classy time. General Manager Martin Weiss has assembled a team that is second to none. At the top of the list is the Director Of Sales & Events Maria Shekhovtsova who initially gave me and my team a tour of the property months ago and ensured we got a thorough top to bottom exploration of this exquisite oasis. I've already started planning my next visit and that will be for pure relaxation. Don't even think about staying anywhere else in Beverly Hills. The attendees for my festival traveled from all over the country and missed film screenings because they wanted to eat the Eggs Benedict poolside and enjoy the many amenities the Avalon offers. The hotel that can be seen in episodes of the classic "I Love Lucy" series and was the place to be seen, is the place to stay and be pampered. I miss the Avalon but I'll be back!
