Reviews for Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel

Disappointing Experience: Far Below Four Seasons Standards

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I m currently staying at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire and unfortunately, my experience is not live up to the expectations associated with the Four Seasons brand. To begin with, the rooms are modern but rather classic and lack any distinctive charm. The bedding, however, was very comfortable, and the hotel’s location is excellent. The pedestrian entrance matches the level of luxury one expects from a Four Seasons, but the valet drop-off entrance is surprisingly less impressive and far from luxurious. If you’re looking for the exceptional level of service you typically find at other Four Seasons hotels or similar properties in this price range, this is not the right hotel. The food at The Blvd restaurant was very good, but the atmosphere left much to be desired. I had a client meeting at 9:30 a.m., and out of nowhere, they blasted loud music as if it were a nightclub. It became impossible to hold a conversation, and when I asked them to lower the volume, I received no apology—on the contrary, I felt like I was the one at fault. We also booked a meeting room for $500, but basic items like pens and paper were not included. If you need a screen, that will cost you an additional $1,200. This level of nickel-and-diming is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Adding to the frustration, only one of the three elevators was working during our stay. Not only did this result in long wait times, but when the elevator finally arrived, it felt more like public transport than a luxury experience. In summary, there are other hotels in the same price range, such as those in the Dorchester Collection, that offer a far better understanding of true customer service. Sadly, the Beverly Wilshire falls short in many key areas and does not justify its reputation or price tag. !

I am writing as a Travel Agent. Thank you for taking good care of my customers, from the moment they arrived to the time they checked out, they couldnt stop talking about their stay. They were impressed about our relationship , and it impressed them and impressed upon them the power of using a Travel Agent. Thank you for making me a hero.

Room issue!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My husband and I recently stayed at the Beverly Wilshire hotel before a cruise along the Mexican Riviera. The hotel was beautiful and decorated nicely for the Christmas holidays. We both were very impressed with the service levels and the attention to detail for all aspects of our stay. HOWEVER, when we returned to our room at night, we were greeted with an awful noise from the nearby elevator. Whenever someone used the elevator, we were awoken with high pitched noises from the elevator. The management staff of the hotel should be aware of this issue before allowing guests to stay in this room!

Zero Stars

We had breakfast here which was quite lovely, albeit expensive. The staff was extremely attentive although surprisingly they got one of our orders wrong. The ambience is magnificent throughout the lobby and restaurant areas. Since my husband and I were so pleased with our visit we wanted to view a 1-bedroom suite so we could consider staying at the hotel for our next trip to Beverly Hills. Although the front desk and concierge were friendly, they made it clear they had no rooms for viewing since it was late morning and the cleaning staff hadn't yet made their rounds after check-outs, and that we should look at photos on their website (no further help was offered). We were shocked with this response: absolutely zero rooms available to view in person at a hotel so large?? (We were dressed very nicely, so it wasn't about them thinking we weren't serious customers.) Needless to say we will NOT consider staying at the Beverly Wilshire in the future. Their front staff needs a refresher course on service.
