Great Stay in BH

Excellent Four Seasons service. Enjoyed the location. Slightly touristy and maybe a bit on the tourist prices side, but can’t beat four seasons consistency and small touches. We enjoyed the newly renovated Beverly Suite in the second tower of the hotel.

Both check in and check out where the only parts of this hotel that went smoothly and as planned.

Both check in and check out where the only parts of this hotel that went smoothly and as planned. On checking in to our room we were placed in an incredibly noisy small room next to an elevator and over looking the skip area of the hotel. The room was cold, uninviting and much to my disbelief, without a Mini Bar/Fridge. When asking where the fridge is a maintenance person then arrived with a huge 6 foot fridge which leaked coolant onto the carpet. Considering it was late at night, I couldn’t be bothered to argue this issue until the morning where we then decided to change rooms due to the horrendous disturbance of the noisy elevator. Breakfast was extremely expensive, multiple waiters serving our table and the orders were not correct. For a standard two person breakfast, 2 orange juice and 2 coffees - Beware you’ll not see any change out of $200! Pool area is over crowded, untidy and the gym area is tired, lacking facilities and just not up to Four Seasons standards. It’s clear that the hotel is past its prime - you are paying for the history rather than anything else and this is possibly why come December 25, this hotel is no longer owned by Four Seasons. We even spent most of our time at The Maybourne round the corner which we wished we had stayed at. Don’t waste your time and money here.

A truly memorable experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed at this wonderful hotel 20 - 28 March in Suite 1177. The suite was situated in sunny position allowing us to enjoy the large balcony on returns from days out. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was great to have a chaise longue in the bedroom and a sofa in the sitting room so that we could both stretch out and read. We ate several times at the Blvd Restaurant and Cut both situated in the hotel. The staff in this hotel were outstanding and went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable. A special thanks to the GM Reed Kandalaft and his team, Victoria, Summer, Abbie, Gio and Seth who in, particular, sorted out restaurant bookings, 6 hour limo excursions and all sorts of things which made our stay seamless. Thank you everyone from the Charts.

Relying on location and not much more at this point…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I have stayed at this hotel many times. It continues to slip. I checked in after 9pm. I was the only person online sip there was no rush. No welcome from the unfriendly agent at the check-in desk. Didn’t ask if I’d stayed there before, didn’t welcome me back. Certainly didn’t ask if I was new to the hotel and required any information. The room was tired and not particularly clean. Paint chipped everywhere. Furniture chipped everywhere. Just felt neglected outside of the always great sheets. After well over a dozen stays here I think it’s time to move on. There are much better properties in Beverly Hills. It seems like the hotel is just resting on the phenomenal location at this point. I’m sorry to say that was likely my last visit.

Disappointing Experience: Far Below Four Seasons Standards

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

I m currently staying at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire and unfortunately, my experience is not live up to the expectations associated with the Four Seasons brand. To begin with, the rooms are modern but rather classic and lack any distinctive charm. The bedding, however, was very comfortable, and the hotel’s location is excellent. The pedestrian entrance matches the level of luxury one expects from a Four Seasons, but the valet drop-off entrance is surprisingly less impressive and far from luxurious. If you’re looking for the exceptional level of service you typically find at other Four Seasons hotels or similar properties in this price range, this is not the right hotel. The food at The Blvd restaurant was very good, but the atmosphere left much to be desired. I had a client meeting at 9:30 a.m., and out of nowhere, they blasted loud music as if it were a nightclub. It became impossible to hold a conversation, and when I asked them to lower the volume, I received no apology—on the contrary, I felt like I was the one at fault. We also booked a meeting room for $500, but basic items like pens and paper were not included. If you need a screen, that will cost you an additional $1,200. This level of nickel-and-diming is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Adding to the frustration, only one of the three elevators was working during our stay. Not only did this result in long wait times, but when the elevator finally arrived, it felt more like public transport than a luxury experience. In summary, there are other hotels in the same price range, such as those in the Dorchester Collection, that offer a far better understanding of true customer service. Sadly, the Beverly Wilshire falls short in many key areas and does not justify its reputation or price tag. !
