Established in 1975 on a palm-lined residential boulevard, L’Ermitage is a discreet, luxurious getaway located a stone’s throw from the beating heart of Beverly Hills. As the first all-suite hotel in the nation, L’Ermitage is committed to offering travelers 5-star service, excellence in hospitality, and spacious accommodations. L’Ermitage gained a reputation as an urbane retreat, and for our clientele, the discreet location, slightly apart from the bustle and somewhat out of view, is precisely the appeal. Our informed but tactful staff and thoughtfully composed, understated interiors, make our guests feel at home. Since 2000, L'Ermitage Beverly Hills has earned the rare dual designation of the Forbes 5 Star and AAA Five Diamonds awards.

L"Hermitage truly lives up to its promise of being a "home away from home" in Beverly Hills. That is exactly how it feels being here, perhaps even more so because I recently lived in LA for years and now come back often to visit. It's on Burton Way which is a residential street but still easy walking distance to the heart of BH. With cozy and gorgeous common areas and an under-the-radar entrance this is not an expansive estate property like the Hotel Bel-Air for example (nothing wrong with that either), but rather it feels like you walked into your beautiful, high end Beverly Hills pied-à-terre with staff that you feel like you've known for 3 months even though it's only been 3 days. The room was very spacious with dark materials and rich textures giving the space a moody and sumptuous vibe. The dressing room and vanity is a standout and by far and away the best vanity I've seen in a room, even surpassing the majority of full size suites. With two enormous full size mirrors, proper counter space and a seat THIS is what a hotel vanity should be. I don't understand why so many hotels (even luxury properties) have inadequate vanities. The bathroom was equally large with a shower that has some of the strongest water pressure I've used in any hotel in the world. Excellent Diptyque toiletries round it all out. Service is first rate. Everyone I came across was effusive, kind and natural, from the front desk team, bellmen, valet and housekeeping, the majority remembering me by first name. Top notch. Service really does elevate a hotel to the next level. I'm very excited to see the transformation of the rooftop when it is finished. Currently the pool is open and heated which is great. One easily fixable nitpick, as it got later in the day the pool area was looking a little bit messy when I went up. This is a simple fix of having someone checking in on it a bit more frequently and making sure everything is tip top. The pool area should be a showcase at all times, even when people aren't there. Otherwise it's a lovely space and I'm sure will be more so later this year. The fitness center is small but very well maintained with water, towels and fruit everywhere you look. Breakfast in Costa Covo was excellent. When I'm new to a property I always order the hotel's "standard" breakfast first and this was a great example with perfectly soft cheddar scrambled eggs and herbed potatoes that had delightful tiny of bits perfectly crispy potato edges that I could have eaten a bag of. Dinner and drinks in the evening were also well executed with a dish of head on prawns and spicy polenta being a standout. I look forward to visiting again on another trip to LA.

Recently stayed at L’Ermitage a few times after having not been back (for no good reason) for nearly 20 years, and it’s better than ever. First, the rooms (suites) are as nice as any in LA with sitting areas, large bathrooms with incredible vanity areas for woman and incredible comfort. The common areas are also spectacular as is the gym, lobby and entrance. The restaurant and bar are well staffed with great service and food and drink. I could go on. Going forward this will be my new go to hotel in LA. Bravo.

We stayed at L'Ermitage for two nights to visit Universal Studios. The hotel is nested in a nice area. In the booking confirmation email, check in time is listed at 3 PM but upon checking in around 3:15 PM we were told the room is not ready and that check in is at 4 PM. Perhaps, this information needs to be updated on the website or any automated confirmation emails. We had to wait for 25 minutes before getting keys so it was a bit inconvenient after a long day of traveling. The room was very clean - just older furniture and poor soundproofing. The staff was great. Valet was convenient.

Superior hospitality with attention to detail, gracious welcome and service, and comfortable well appointed accommodations that provide a suite experience meriting the five star rating. Especially appreciated - the excellent lighting in the bedroom and dressing room areas, well appointed closets, and excellent in room coffee/tea self serve set-up. Pleased to find high quality, easy to use, espresso-maker in the room. Looking forward to returning!
