Review for Cameo Beverly Hills

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Cameo Beverly Hills has long been my favorite Southern California retreat, and despite arriving during a labor awareness strike—which brought quite a bit of noise and disruption—I was reminded why I continue to return. Upon check-in, I was warmly greeted by Oduwa, whose calming presence made all the difference. She was empathetic about the situation, offered gracious customer service, and took the time to walk me through the hotel’s amenities and ways I could still enjoy my stay amidst the disruption. The small but meaningful gesture of a handwritten note, bottled water, and candies in my room brought a moment of peace and joy to a weary traveler. It’s thoughtful touches like these that leave a lasting impression. Thanks to Oduwa and the team, Hotel Cameo remains my go-to in Beverly Hills.

Top tier hotel

The room is great with views of the whole city! The bed is comfy and allowed my one year old a good nights rest. Besides the protests in the morning which is out of the staffs hands, this stay has been great so far! The staff are 10/10 I would highly recommend Cameo!

Beautiful Hotel, but a Miserable Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Cameo Beverly Hills is absolutely beautiful—modern, elegant, and our room was genuinely stunning. My boyfriend and I got engaged on this trip, and we were so excited to celebrate somewhere special. On appearance alone, the hotel delivered. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by a workers’ union strike that happened every single morning of our stay. At exactly 7:00 AM, we were jolted awake by screaming, bullhorns, and chanting right outside the hotel entrance. It was relentless and unavoidable. Sleeping in? Impossible. Relaxing? Out of the question. Our engagement trip was completely derailed. I understand and support the cause—hospitality workers are often overworked and underpaid—but I was shocked that this level of disruption was allowed on what should be private property. Police were called and simply sat in their vehicles watching it all unfold. The hotel made no effort to shield guests from the chaos. When I spoke to the front desk, I did eventually receive points back for the stay—but not even the smallest gesture of empathy. No apology, no concern, nothing. Just a transactional response, like the noise and disruption were somehow normal or acceptable. This should have been one of the most joyful memories of our lives, but instead it became one we will remember for all the wrong reasons. I truly hope upper management listens to the workers and finds a resolution—because this situation will absolutely destroy guest satisfaction and tank the hotel’s reputation if left unchecked.

Great location, attentive staff, loved the balconies!

Great location, attentive staff, great rooms, and we loved the view from our room! We got two rooms for our family, and when we called ahead to ask if they could connect the rooms, they made it so easy for us! They were prompt bringing up ice when needed and the drinks at the bar were delicious!
