Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

My day was wonderful. The staff was amazing. Enrique from the valet took care of me, and I will definitely be returning and recommending friends and family to go. They were very accommodating to me and my two babies and always made sure we were taking care of.

Appalling stay. Management could not have cared less. We booked this hotel through Viking Cruises UK as an end of cruise extension so we could explore Los Angeles. As a regular user of Sofitel it was expected to be 4/5 star + However, whilst the room was adequate and the concierge helpful the rest was a very unpleasant due to the duty managers attitude on the middle evening. We had toured the local area on foot after breakfast and returned to the hotel at lunchtime to be told there was no availability for food or drink as the kitchen had closed and staff had gone home. We had a guided tour of Hollywood arranged so had to make do without a meal as there was no time to make an alternative arrangement. On return and in the early evening we had arranged to meet fellow guests for Dinner at 6:30 for 7PM to be advised the hotel was booked for a private function and that no food or drink was available again. The lobby had filled with decidedly “iffy clientele” and a heavy set person physically barred our progress to the dining area. We approached the front desk to speak with a “manager” (I cant name him as it was not provided on request) to be advised that no facilities were available including Room Service. No explanation was made as to why we had not been informed earlier, eg. as we checked in, at breakfast or at lunchtime . Eventually some time later and after much haggling, we managed to make an order for Room service to be delivered 25 minutes later. When it arrived the order was wrong, as in not what we had ordered, it was replaced with the right order a further 20 minutes later just before 9PM - it was tepid, stodgy and pretty disgusting. We left next morning, and flew to Heathrow where we had a room booked at T5 Sofitel London which was excellent as usual. We will eschew the delights of Sofitel LA its just not fit for purpose and needs new management urgently. Viking will be advised to review their choice of venue for further pre- and post cruise extensions.

Our family recently had an extended stay at the Sofitel Beverly Hills under extremely difficult circumstances. My mother suffered a severe pelvic fracture on October 15 while visiting our son/grandson, requiring three days of hospitalization, two weeks of inpatient rehab, and further outpatient therapy. The incredible team at Sofitel went above and beyond to provide unparalleled support, comfort, and care throughout this ordeal. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the staff managed to secure and extend a handicapped-accessible suite for my mother at a reduced rate. This suite became a sanctuary that made her recovery possible. The hotel also offered us a special service allowing us to text orders for her meals, ensuring she received the nutrition she needed to rebuild her strength. The acts of kindness we experienced were endless. One evening, after a particularly exhausting day I returned to the hotel, sapped of energy. Just as I was about to collapse into bed, a knock came at my door. A member of the housekeeping staff stood there with a tray of fresh fruit, rolls, and tea. That thoughtful gesture gave me the strength I desperately needed in that moment. A true godsend. When my mother was transferred from the rehab facility back to the hotel, the valet, Willie, took special care to prepare for her arrival. He ensured the entrance was clear, had a wheelchair ready, and later arranged convenient valet parking for her therapists to easily provide outpatient care. These details made an enormous difference to us. Special thanks to Emilie, Marvin, Saida, Miranda, Alex, the bell staff, chefs, and countless others who went out of their way to support us with warmth and efficiency. From handling medical supplies to preparing nourishing meals, every interaction was filled with kindness and empathy. The Sofitel Beverly Hills treated us not as guests, but as family. Their exceptional service and human touch will remain forever in our hearts. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is more than a place to stay, it is a place where people genuinely care. Thank you, Sofitel team, for everything. You made an immense difference during one of the hardest times in our lives

I spent a week at the Sofitel in October 2023. I stayed in a suite on the 10th floor facing the Hollywood Hills. The room was spacious and it had a nice balcony. The service in the hotel was excellent. Special shout out to Emily, Mathilde at the front desk, Marta in the restaurant and Willie, parking.

Loved this place. We seemed to have an enormous room - a huge suite which i don't remember booking??? Perhaps we were upgraded, but anyway, it was great. And the comfiest bed of all the beds we stayed in on our recent road trip of California. Lovely pillows and bedlinen too. Stayed for 3 nights and had our car in the valet parking. The staff were all courteous and kind. Breakfast, which we ate only once was a bit of a rip off, and took ages. Better to go out for breakfast in my opinion. Great location for touristy things, got an Uber to The Grove and also drove to Universal Studios.
