We recently stayed at Waldorf on a Friday night. We had exceptional service, a terrific breakfast and a very comfortable room overlooking the the Santa Monica Mountains. Jen at the front desk shared some valuable advice and was kind of enough to recognize my status and gave us a lovely upgrade. The room was spacious and the terrace was quite large and it was very enjoyable sitting there and admiring the view.

The serene atmosphere hit me the moment I walked in - a perfect escape from the busy world outside. Every staff member I encountered seemed genuinely passionate about creating a memorable experience. The attention to cleanliness was outstanding, and the little touches throughout the property made it feel special without being pretentious. The evening turndown service with lo

Here’s a version that keeps it direct and blunt: This hotel has gone completely downhill. I’ve stayed here nearly 100 times over the years, and the new management is a disgrace to what was once a reliable, luxury experience. Here’s a rundown of how bad it’s gotten: 1. They forgot to clean our room, and I had to call three times just to get it serviced. I had to leave the room most of the day waiting for them. 2. When my wife arrived, they left all of our luggage unattended outside for three hours. Then they couldn’t find her belongings and didn’t answer any calls, so she had to find the luggage herself and haul it to the room on her own. This is supposed to be a high-end hotel, not a no-service zone. 3. Our key card stopped working along with the elevators. I had to go up and down multiple times just to get access to my room. I messaged the concierge for help, and they ignored it. 4. Phones didn’t work, so any simple request required physically walking to the concierge who wasn’t at the desk. 5. Even the concierge required several calls and messages to respond at all. 6. This barely scratches the surface. At no point we we not severely dissatisfied with our stay here. 7. The venues were all dead. The rooftop was ghosts and the downstairs restaurant was empty and creepy. For thousands of dollars a night, we ended up more stressed than when we arrived. I would not recommend staying here to anyone looking for a true five-star experience. You’re better off at the Peninsula, Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel Air, or the Maybourne—places that actually care about their guests and train their employees properly. Waldorf Astoria is a glorified motel now. A complete joke. Waldorf Astoria has become a joke. Where’s the accountability?

I came back to this magnificent hotel with my friend, whom I had not seen in 30 years. We had a few glasses of champagne upon check-in. The staff that checked us in was not so friendly. However, the rest of the staff were great. The room was amazing. It was spacious. The toiletries, sheets, and towels were luxurious. This time, I had the chance to use their pool and the sauna. It was a great experience. The view from the top was magnificent. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly. We even had the opportunity to see Jon Bon Jovi, who was dining at the same time, just a couple of tables away from us. The rooftop restaurant was awesome with an amazing view at night. The food was delicious. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much and would definitely love to come back.

Very chic and special hotel in Beverly Hills. The hotel is one of the highest buildings around so you get a view of either the Hollywood Hills or Century City. The room is modern, well decorated with great views. Check out the rooftop bar and pool area. . Very nice hotel within walking distance of all Beverly HIlls has to offer.
