Tranquil and Timeless
Revitalizing. If I had to choose one word to describe Post Ranch Inn, it would be that. Big Sur's tranquility is only accentuated by the quality experience that Post Ranch Inn provides. From the privacy and cleanliness of the rooms to the well-maintained hiking trails, even the deer are at peace. I especially appreciated the extensive itinerary that offered many options to wind down. I highly recommend the falconry experience, as Antonio is very informed and has so much knowledge to share! If you plan on staying with your significant other, there is something irreplaceably special about star gazing in the meditation pool and then cozying up next to your private fireplace.

I had to the pleasure to stay at Post Ranch Inn with my fiancé and let me tell you, it was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The experience was phenomenal, and we will be coming back again for a longer stay. Derek helped me organize a proposal and he did a marvelous job. Every question I had in regards to Post Ranch Inn was already answered during my stay. I didn’t have to worry or stress about anything, it was already taken care of by the staff and team members who work there. 10/10 spot if you’re wanting a relaxing redwood experience with beautiful scenery and ocean breeze in Big Sur.

The tranquil Beauty of Post Ranch Inn, showcases the heart of Big Sur. The Natural and well maintained property feels welcoming and safe. It is a very nurturing place to be for a retreat, special occasion or celebration. Staff is very welcoming and highly professional.

Brendon the amazing!
Brendan at the post restaurant was amazing. He greeted us and the first thing he asked was, are you hungry? It was just after they had served breakfast and he was able to miraculously come up with a full breakfast meal. That was our first encounter when we got there and the rest of our visit was just as nice.

Lovely property, some things could have improved, communication about resort credit vague.
The property was nice (the natural setting is what it is - stunning and serene). The property was under renovations which removed access to the main restaurant and one of the ocean side pools. They offered a $250.00 credit which we were told at checkout applied only to food on the day of our arrival (that’s incredibly annoying at this price point, particularly given they didn’t explain this at check-in). The bed wasn’t my favorite (very firm which is just not my personal preference), but that’s the only negative about the room itself (nice setting, fireplace, etc) . We may try again when everything is open, but would ask a lot more questions to understand any promotions or costs.
