Superb stay at the Ventana
Superb stay at the Ventana. Excellent service. Fun activities to fill your day. Gorgeous setting. We were lucky to have sunny weather throughout our stay. Check the weather before you book because fog can get heavy in that region. Food was great. I recommend the hen egg as an appetizer for dinner

Attention: Not a really all-inclusive hotel. Not worth staying. Menu changed, food variety down.
Not worth staying with this hotel for any purpose. They even start to charge for additional fees for appetizer, desserts, and entrees for breakfast and lunch. The menu is less variety compared to the one offered few months ago. No any welcome gifts for birthday. No cake, no chocolate, nothing. It is not an all-inclusive hotel.

A cross between The White Lotus + Restoration Hardware
Spending Thanksgiving week at Big Sur has made me grateful, once again, for being a Californian for most of my adult life. (I'm also grateful that the resort's policy is no tipping and no children). Alila Ventana Big Sur is a cross between The White Lotus and Restoration Hardware. Only 54 suites on 243 acres, with guests (from Hollywood & Silicon Valley) shuttled around in electric carts. It was built in 1975 with money from "Easy Rider" by producer Lawrence Spector, and it's been a coastal favorite ever since.

Soaked in wellness
Perfect wellness retreat. We chose Alila Ventana for the annual trip for me and my long distance bestie and we enjoyed every bit of it. Nestled between the Redwoods and the Pacific Ocean, Alia Ventana transported us to tranquility. The food, activities we’re just perfect!

Need revamp food service
Plse work out a better food system at sur house & variety and portion dont need to be sooo big- so much waste of food and not delicate fancy - all cheaply put together food- flavor inconsistent and temperature of food serve cold and not properly heat lamp or staff delivered not promptly

Ventana was the perfect spot...this resort is easily one of the most romantic places in Big Sur. The on-site spa is relaxing and comforting - everyone is knowledgeable, skilled and highly professional. Ventana is luxurious, romantic and fun. We'll be back!
