An old fortress converted into a heritage resort, this historic landmark is a unique example of Jaipur Gharana architecture, as it blends the structural and decorative styles of both the Mogul and British empires. Magnificently set upon a granite hill, the audacious and striking architecture of Alila Fort Bishangarh appears effortlessly sculpted from the surrounding countryside, overlooking 360-degree views of the impressive Rajasthani landscape. With much care given to the ecological restoration, the resort still features the fort’s original two-metre-thick walls and its original battlements, turrets and arches. The soul of the fort has been passionately brought to life, recreating the courtly flavor of nearby city’s royalty while retaining its stark and inherent simplicity.

Very nice and peaceful place - perfect for a charming and historical pause that allow you to reload the batteries in the middle of a trip in Rajasthan. Special mention to the great pool and the Spa. Different restaurants option that bring you either on a huge terrace overlooking the region or in a room in the fort with typical decoration. Very good food and great vibes

The food and hospitality of the staff was memorable!!! Discovered new dishes and flavors with the recommendation of the very friendly restaurant staff. Everyone was responsive, thoughtful and caring :) Will love to go back in a group to explore all the place has to offer.

Worth visiting the place. Hospitality & food is par excellence. Turning this place from ruins to royal feeling is worth going thru. Its being promoted as wedding destination but its worth a short break stay. Visit in good weather will add the charm of this place.

The location of this hotel is fascinating and the views from the hotel are breathtaking! The rooms are super spacious and the staff is excellent! Special mention to Deb who made our overall experience better. Extremely prompt with her text replies, she replied to all our queries instantly. Vistarika made it extra special for our baby boy with a beautiful bed arrangement in our room. Moreover, Babulal Yogi took us on a special Aravali hike with beautiful views! Local boy Santosh Kumar made our dining experience one to remember! One must try dining at the Kachawa lounge and also catching the sunset from the many viewpoints at the property. The rajasthani thali was absolutely delicious and must not be missed. The spa and massage facilities are decent too. My only gripe is about the length of the bed in the suite as it was short in my opinion and would be a bit uncomfortable for anyone over 5ft 10 inches. Would surely recommend this place for a family vacation! PS: we got upgraded to their second highest suite category, which was a pleasant surprise!
