Overlooking the village of Bonnieux, Capelongue is a hamlet designed around a village square. Living to the rhythm of local events events, artists’ residencies and festivals, the estate celebrates creativity, gastronomy and contemporary crafts. Capelongue is the heritage and embodiment of Provence today. The panorama is breathtaking. From the edge of the Claparèdes plateau on which it stands, Capelongue overlooks Bonnieux, a magnificent village perched in the heart of the Golden Triangle of the Luberon. Authenticity, friendliness and generosity reign, cradled by the charm of this Provence of the hinterland where one comes to take refuge. A place full of soul that invites you to take a step back and let off steam.

Our stay was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my mother, who uses a wheelchair – from helping with our luggage to recommending accessible routes in the area. Every request, no matter how small or what time of day, was met with warmth and care. The hotel itself is located in a breathtaking Provençal village, and the on-site restaurant was simply outstanding. Special thanks to the manager and team for their genuine kindness and dedication – this experience made our trip unforgettable.

Beautiful setting with exceptional friendly helpful staff. So enjoyed using the E bikes to visit the cedar wood with spectacular views of the valley and also cycled to Gordes most of which is along the old railroad track but repurposed to a cycle track. The blossom was out and the views and sunsets overlooking the village and valley were spectacular. We really enjoyed eating at the Bergerie where the meat is cooked on an open wood fire. The decor and furnishings are beautifully done . Highlight was a facial and massage with Katie who was visiting- she is exceptional. My husband said he had a fantastic massage from the very capable welcoming Chloe. We also enjoyed the Roman bath and steam room and braved the cold tub. The village with many further restaurants is a 15/20 minute walk away. We shall definitely be back. The only things I would change would be for the breakfast buffet to have fresh berries and greek yoghurt. The gym could do with a cross trainer rather than 2 bicycles.

Such an amaizing place ! The CAPELONGUE HOTEL is like a resort but you do not feel it. It is so quiet, so relaxing, so spacious ! The level of the hotel and restaurant is really top top class ! But in a friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed the pools, the food and especially me with this truffle pizza ! The children really enjoyed as well. For sure there, even with a short stay, I could relax so well. Thanks a lot the team and I hope to visit your hotel again next yea!

Nice stay with our children (young adults). The location is nice. The hotel has been renovated and for the most part this was well done. Our main complaint is about the bathroom, which is not at all at the level of a five star hotel (more like a two star hotel). The mirror is so high in the bathroom that my wife could only see her forehead. When you take a shower you basically wet the whole floor. And there is almost no furniture where to put/store your belongings. The rest of the room was great. It was spacious. The A/C was working well. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast is nice with a view of the village from the terrace. The lap pool area is very nice and quiet. Very nice for a good rest. We did not try the restaurants. We instead went to the two star michelin at Mas les Eydins which was amazing and to l'Orangerie in the Batide de Gordes which offered nice views with so-so food. The staff at the hotel is young but great. If the bathroom had been up to the level we would have given five stars.

It goes without saying there's amazing views, and top class service, and a sense of being in the French countryside even though you're actually in a posh international hotel. The staff all work really hard. We will try to come again if we can (and we don't feel that about most hotels we stay in!) I really valued having a long pool where you can do a lot of (very long!) lengths without having to keep out of the way of kids having fun (there's another wiggly pool where families can have their fun). The best bit for me was the wine-tasting (you have to book early) and (not me!) two of us splashed out on the Michelin Star restaurant one night and had a great - memorable - meal. The local village has loads of restaurants - all full of unique character. It's in a wine-making area - stuffed full of everything that makes French travel great. There's a few tiny, small niggles inevitable in the first year of new (really wonderful) rooms e.g. the mirror in the bathroom is designed for giants, not for average-height couples (I think they're on to this); green tea in the bed-rooms isn't replaced automatically; there's amazing local hikes around the hotel but Reception seemed to have no recommendations without first getting in your car. Amazing breakfasts in a great setting

My husband and I recently had the extraordinary pleasure of staying at La Bastide de Capelongue. What a feast for all the senses! Beautiful accommodation, fine wine and exquisite food all supported by professional and friendly staff. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations all courtesy of Luxury Link but this Hotel has certainly offered the ultimate experience.

This summer we spent five glorious nights in Provence at La Bastide de Capelongue. The experience provided us with a top-notch hotel room, unique and elegant, with added benefits like dinners with wine and so much more. With the quality of the facilities and the courtesy of the staff, every effort was always made to welcome us.

La Bastide de Capelongue was, of all the places in the world I've visited, one of the most beautiful. Words, and even pictures, do not do it justice. The rooms are luxurious and very stylish, the gardens beautiful, the scenery unbelievable, and the food exquisite. The staff was extremely professional and courteous.
