A GREAT disappointment. At the get go I knew we were in trouble since the lobby was horrible. Huge and empty of any ambiance. The photos of the rooms on the website are more than a bit deceiving. We stayed in two deluxe connecting rooms that were teeny tiny. One only had half a window and both looked out at a horrible area behind the hotel. To enter our room we had to avoid a wall to get in and not hit the door closing. Nothing like the photos depicted. No mini bar. No glasses (!). No ice bucket. Just the basics. You had to scan codes for any information (the pandemic is over folks!) The pool was so very depressing. The work out facility even worse. I was in the lady's changing room looking around and a male employee came in to re-supply towels. I could have been naked. Not great! The hallways were filled with dirty food carts (one tray sat there for the entire day and night we were there). This stay was everything we didn't want and nothing we did. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR OR EVEN A 4 STAR HOTEL. Stay away.

Completely refurbished hotel. Everything feels new, lux, and extremely clean from the hallways to the rooms. The rooms are so comfortable, well decorated, amazing bathroom, and great amenities from pillow menu to Frette robes to complimentary shoe shine. Some rooms are very dark though as the building is surrounded by buildings so I moved rooms. Service is good and very prompt. Room service food could have better options. Love the vibe of the bar area and also that it’s never too packed and is separate from the lobby. The Langham Club access is a nice addition to have however the rules are clearly not enforced and it’s swarming with young kids for breakfast until noon which is not acceptable. We booked the room we did and chose The Langham for this access but with kids running around, screaming, crying, and playing games it was very difficult. I heard other guests complain about this. It was like daycare! The hotel really needs to revisit the purpose and rules of this area. Also, the breakfast options were limited here for anyone with food allergies especially. I would rethink spending the extra money to book a room that includes this access as with what we experienced it wasn't worth the headache. The hallways can be loud but that is a people issue not a hotel issue. The neighborhood is very convenient for our needs.

We came to the Langham Boston for a city getaway with our three boys. Our entire experience was wonderful. The decorations for the holidays were beautiful. The pool and hot tub area was relaxing. The water was incredibly warm. Our boys had a blast swimming in the lights at night. In room dining was delicious and had a good array of options. We had a family room with two doubles and a pullout couch, which was perfect for our five person family, not something you find in every hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our boys are already asking to go back.

When travelling with kids for a weekend away it is easy to get overwhelmed. The staff at the Langham provided exceptional service to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay. The location was walking distance to several kid friendly hot spots. Highly recommend breakfast at Grana, just call and book a time in advance to ensure you don't need to wait.
