Reviews for W Boston

Great stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Great stay; this is probably the best W I've stayed in. Got a great upgrade as a Bonvoy Platinum, the room was both stylish and comfortable (I disagree with reviews characterizing the hotel as dated and worn). Service was extremely responsive; I never had to wait more than a ring or two on the phone to reach someone, and everything I asked for was provided more quickly than I expected (e.g. room service promised for 30 mins mostly delivered in 15). I will be back.

WOW!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Spent a weekend in Boston just before Christmas. Love this area because it’s near the various theaters so we caught the showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The show was wonderful and it is literally across the street from the hotel. The hotel is also perfectly situated in Chinatown because of the vast number of Chinese restaurant options. It’s also a stones throw from a fancy shopping district. The WOW room was truly wonderful. Huge living room separate from the bedroom. Nice dining area for when we ordered UberEats. $35 tourist fee can be credited back to the guests in the form of food and drink credits but other options are available. Nice gym. Spacious. The usual equipment in a hotel gym.

Decent but dated

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Decent hotel but a bit dingy and dated. Definitely showing some wear and tear, but overall consistent W experience otherwise. Decent location. Room service is good. Broader amenities are consistent with expectations of a full service hotel.

Wonderful Boston experience

This hotel was worth every penny. Beautiful clean and funky hotel, fabulous staff , amazing location and the best beds possible. The W hotel is so well situated.Close to the park and walking distance to Beacon Hill and many other attractions. The concierge staff gave great food suggestions like Tatte for lunch and Little Italy dinner restaurants . All in all fabulous hotel EXperience Highly recommend it

Too noisy for a relaxing holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This hotel is conveniently located for Boston Common and the Freedom Trail sights. It is one block from a T station and most historic sights are within walking distance for anyone who is reasonably fit. However, if you expect a good nights sleep this is not the hotel for you. We had a room on the top floor(15) overlooking Stuart street and the traffic noise was truly appalling. There seems to be a tunnel effect created by the buildings and traffic noise therefore travelled up to us and sounded as though we were right in the street. Sirens, cars and motorbikes revving their engines at the traffic lights, cars with music played at full volume, big trucks - we had everything. Over the weekend the noise was constant until 2.00 or 3.00am. During the weeknights it was marginally less. Our room was pleasantly decorated, but the pillows on the bed had no stuffing to speak of, and the shower had little water pressure and the temperature fluctuated regularly. Reception service was a bit hit and miss- depended who you got on the desk, but the rooms were serviced really well. We didn’t eat in the hotel - it seemed overpriced- so we breakfasted at Tatte - a superb cafe one block away. If you have to stay in a Marriott hotel in Boston, try the one on the Wharf. It cannot be as noisy as this one
