Wonderful Boston experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel was worth every penny. Beautiful clean and funky hotel, fabulous staff , amazing location and the best beds possible. The W hotel is so well situated.Close to the park and walking distance to Beacon Hill and many other attractions. The concierge staff gave great food suggestions like Tatte for lunch and Little Italy dinner restaurants . All in all fabulous hotel EXperience Highly recommend it

Too noisy for a relaxing holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This hotel is conveniently located for Boston Common and the Freedom Trail sights. It is one block from a T station and most historic sights are within walking distance for anyone who is reasonably fit. However, if you expect a good nights sleep this is not the hotel for you. We had a room on the top floor(15) overlooking Stuart street and the traffic noise was truly appalling. There seems to be a tunnel effect created by the buildings and traffic noise therefore travelled up to us and sounded as though we were right in the street. Sirens, cars and motorbikes revving their engines at the traffic lights, cars with music played at full volume, big trucks - we had everything. Over the weekend the noise was constant until 2.00 or 3.00am. During the weeknights it was marginally less. Our room was pleasantly decorated, but the pillows on the bed had no stuffing to speak of, and the shower had little water pressure and the temperature fluctuated regularly. Reception service was a bit hit and miss- depended who you got on the desk, but the rooms were serviced really well. We didn’t eat in the hotel - it seemed overpriced- so we breakfasted at Tatte - a superb cafe one block away. If you have to stay in a Marriott hotel in Boston, try the one on the Wharf. It cannot be as noisy as this one

Nightclub hotel that's very noisy. Poor night's sleep.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Nice sized rooms, clean. But extremely noisy hotel. The noise comes from hotel lobby which turns into a night club to 3am with thumping bass sounds keeping you up most of the nights even when you stay in higher floors. Recommended to my travel agent to remove this hotel from their listings because this is more geared for being a nightclub, than being a hotel you can actually get a good night's sleep in.

Pleasant greeting on arrival 👌

We arrived at the hotel on Wednesday night after an extremely long day travelling from Aberdeenshire Scotland. We were greeted by Sacha on reception who was very pleasant friendly and extremely helpful, she is a credit to the hotel. The room that we were allocated was modern and clean with a large comfortable bed. We received a complimentary breakfast each morning of our stay, which had fresh fruit yogurt porridge and hot choices of sausage bacon and egg, with this being a buffet style breakfast it would have been a lot nicer had it been hotter, having said that I can’t really complain. The hotel it’s self is a short distance away from Boston Common which was a beautiful park for going for a walk in . Friendliness of Staff 5⭐️ Cleanliness of Room 5⭐️ Breakfast 5⭐️

Lovely and welcoming hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

A modern hotel in a great location but what really sets it apart is the employees and how helpful they are. Special mention has to go to Marianne (Concierge) who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and give us lots of Boston tips although we arrived just as her shift was ending.
