FORESTIS is located in a densely wooded area, 1,800 m above sea-level, with a view of the Dolomites. The area’s unique and outstanding natural character had already prompted the Austrian monarchy to establish a tuberculosis sanatorium at precisely this special site. FORESTIS lies in a sheltered sunny location on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in the South Tyrolean Alps, directly opposite the impressive massifs of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. The extraordinarily pure Plose spring water, fresh mountain air, many sunny days and mild climate, where Adriatic currents meet air masses from the North, have a favourable effect upon the health and well-being.

Absolutely gorgeous mountain retreat. Stayed here for the beginning of our honeymoon. Staff is attentive and helpful. Views are perfection. Dining for any meal is well presented and delicious. Spa services were fabulous. Very serene and peaceful. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Place was amazing down to every curated detail. Staff is super friendly and genuinely wants to help you however they can. Views are some of the best in the world. Waking up to snowy Dolomite views was an incredible experience. The spa is luxurious and spacious and the outdoor cold plunge can't be beat. Vital field massage at the spa was great and really leans in to the druidic charm of the hotel. Honestly the spa seemed underpriced compared to the rest of the hotel as the food and such was very expensive but everything we paid for was well worth it. There's a bus stop right outside which is very convenient and there's fun activities going on all the time. A tower suite upgrade was definitely worth it, again, things are expensive but everything felt worth it and they offer free snacks and waters along side the drinks and snacks included in the room. Finally a note that breakfast buffet was incredible and you can't wait to visit each morning.

Incredible views up against the Dolomites. Spa, food, walks, pool, incredible. Staff is friendly but very stiff. Rooms have beautiful open views to the mountains. Very relaxing hotel. Breakfasts and dinners delicious. Do not need to leave for any meals.

This place is incredible in all facets - rooms, view, food, service, spa/pool. No need for 200 words. We had a suite in the historic building vs one of the three towers. The room is great - updated while keeping the mountain character. Large room with separate living area, balcony, great views. The Tower suites are higher, a bit larger, and have a larger balcony, but our suite is so good there is probably little reason to pay the extra cost for a Tower suite (unless you want the penthouse). The views are so good in the regular suite that the additional height doesn’t matter (and you can go to the top floor lounge in one of the towers if you want that higher view). The views are great also from the restaurants, the outdoor garden area, and the outdoor pool. The spa facilities are extensive. The service, including in the spa area, is unmatched.

Wow this place goes above and beyond. We couldn’t fault anything! The buffet breakfast is amazing, the attention to detail at dinner was great. We had the 7 course meal every night which was just delicious. The outside bar area is gorgeous and the view is unbelievable. The pool is indoors and outdoors and it is stunning. Every member of staff were so polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel was extremely clean. We wish we could have stayed for longer. It’s truly a magical stay. Thank you for making our honeymoon so perfect! We hope to return in the future.
