Love this hotel……

Just back from a weekend in Brighton staying at the beautiful Hilton Doubletree Hotel. As well as a fantastic location on the sea front the building has been beautifully restored and all of the original features brought to life. Our bedroom was a fantastic size and the colours are stylish and understated. We were a group of 6 friends and everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Most importantly the staff at the Doubletree couldn’t do more for you and all bring a wonderful mix of professionalism and friendliness that is not always easy to achieve. We were in Brighton to see Jo Whiley and our stay at the hotel made it a perfect weekend. Definitely recommend.

Minta you are a star 👏

The stay was wonderful and we very much enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Brighton. What made it so special is the generosity, the hospitality and go beyond and above to make this experience a wonderful one for my partner who graduated. Champagne and a beautiful room with sea view . What not to like ! I will have to mention the name of the person who made this stay very special and we would very much mention the name of MINTA. She is a breath of fresh air. Thank you Minta , you are a credit to your team at the Hilton Brighton. We appreciate what you did for us and we most certainly return back and we will make sure we recommend you to friends and family. You are a STAR and we give you 10/10 Thank you from Gino and Aliya

Simply the best!

We have been travelling for the last 6 months and have stayed at Hilton hotels for the total duration of that time. This wonderful hotel is the best that we have stayed at! We received an upgrade as Diamond members, to a huge balcony room overlooking the sea. The building is so impressive with a huge sweeping staircase. The breakfast room is also impressive with wonderful food to match! We can't wait to return.

I won’t be returning - 20/01 Birthday trip

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Here’s a polished review based on your feedback: Disappointing Birthday Stay at DoubleTree Hilton Brighton I chose the DoubleTree Hilton Brighton for a quick birthday getaway, breaking my tradition of staying at The Grand Brighton, where I’ve never had an issue. Unfortunately, I regret this decision. From the outset, the experience was underwhelming. I arrived early and attempted to check in before 4 pm. While I was informed check-in starts strictly at 4 pm, I noticed another guest being allowed into their room at the same time. This inconsistency set the tone for the rest of my stay. For my birthday, I requested a complimentary upgrade, which was declined unless I paid half price. Strangely, another guest shared that they were offered the same deal without it being a special occasion. It gave the impression that guest requests and gestures of goodwill were transactional rather than thoughtful. This guest also shared that when he asked for a complimentary one-hour late checkout (due to his wife using the spa), the hotel insisted on charging £10 per hour. He declined and was left awkwardly waiting on the spa floor due to lack of proper seating, as the reception desk was unmanned. While I appreciated the dessert left in my room the day before my birthday, it was disappointing to find that the room lacked basics like complimentary water or a fridge. Another guest even mistook the wardrobe for a fridge while searching for one. For a hotel in this price range, such omissions are surprising. The breakfast I ordered via room service on my birthday arrived cold, with no jam for the toast and orange juice that was clearly from concentrate, not fresh. On another evening, I ordered room service via the app, but it never arrived—I’m still checking to ensure I haven’t been charged. The most upsetting moment came on my last morning when a cleaner entered my room unannounced at 8:55 am. I was asleep and woke up to her opening the door without knocking. She left immediately upon realising I was still in bed, but the incident was startling. When I called reception, I was told checkout was at 11 am. It felt like a deliberate tactic to speed up room turnover, which was both intrusive and unprofessional. While the reception staff were friendly in person, the overall experience left much to be desired. The hotel feels as though it’s cutting corners to save costs, leaving guests without the level of service or amenities they expect. For a birthday or any special occasion, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It lacks the polish, warmth, and attention to detail one would expect from a Hilton property. Sadly, this stay felt more like an exercise in cost-saving than hospitality. I won’t be returning.

Relaxing and enjoyable

Stayed one night and from the moment you enter you’re met with this grandeur entrance. Stunning. Checked into room and room was very spacious, had a sofa and a nice bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Views over the sea were lovely and room was very quiet. Had a nice meal in the bar and was very reasonably priced. Breakfast in the morning was really good with a lot of choices and lovely hosted in the 1890 restaurant! Town centre is 10 mins walk away and the pier about the same distance away. Def my go to hotel when next in Brighton. And I will be back!!
