Booked in as a weekend birthday treat for my wife. After our first Hilton stay in Osaka earlier this year, we had pretty high expectations. Hilton Brisbane is very good, but it didn't quite get there. The hotel is definitely showing its age. The reception area, bar and restaurant on the 6th floor is calm and pleasant, but dark. It feels like a cave with the only natural light coming from a narrow skylight 15 or so floors above. Check-in was straightforward. Our room was spacious and clean but very dated. If you're into beige and its variants, you're in for a treat. The wallpaper was peeling at the corners of the joins and the air conditioner sounded like a small aircraft was taking off. Lampshades were dented and stained. Outside the fantastic window, weeds have established along the graveled area contributing to the worn feel of the room. That said, the bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The TV... What can I say about the TV? It's 2024. Why would I pay to watch 20 year old movies? And not just a couple of dollars. Very expensive. No streaming services and no way to cast from your phone. Yeah, seriously not good enough on this one Hilton. If a suburban motel can offer me access to Netflix, you have no excuse. Ridiculous. Service was excellent. Nothing was too difficult for the staff who were friendly and efficient. We very much appreciated the complimentary bottle of birthday wine. We didn't eat at the restaurant but did have a few drinks at the bar. Some of the best mojitos we've ever had. 10/10 on that score. Hilton has introduced a digital key (via the Hilton honors app) to enable you to use your phone. They still issue a traditional swipe card, but the phone is convenient. Unfortunately, it's also very buggy. Once I enabled the digital key on my phone, my swipe card stopped working. No big deal, except that for the last 24 hours of our stay, the app logged me out and I couldn't log back in. Thankfully my wife's digital key continued to function. The app seems to be problematic for a lot of people. Hilton needs to go back to the drawing board on that one. We had a lovely stay and given the price, feel that it was good value, but the small things do add up. Would we stay here again? Possibly. I'll be looking at what the competitors have on offer.

Checking and check out reception was friendly and efficient. Breakfast room had good selection and staff were attentive to requests and needs. This is a clean hotel, the bar area is nice. The tennis court was closed in this stay. The room was large, spacious, with everything you expect of a Hilton hotel, although it is a little dated. Pool was nice and sun most of the time on the deck, however this lacked a bar or food, but it did have code to order from your phone. There was no change rooms or shower to clean up at the pool. The gym was functional and had a good selection of equipment compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Hotel is close to transport and sightseeing attractions. All up a good hotel and good place to stay.

Been a few years since ive stayed at the Brisbane Hilton and although not a lot had changed I was surprised at the good pillows and got a decent nights sleep! Breakfast was very good far better than i have had recently in other local hotels! And i forgot my phone charger but reception lent me one overnight !

Just had a two day stay in the executive floor and as always, the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. I would like to give a shout out to Sean who was on last night in the lounge for the cocktail hour, what a lovely young man. So friendly and wanting to please, I hope he goes far. So thank you once again Brisbane for pulling out all the stops.

Never been so disappointed 😞 have stayed in hilton in Queenstown and was amazing brisbane not so much I'm from byron bay and came for a 2 night get away , service was great front desk was amazing staff but room was disgusting had to ask for it to be cleaned again ..and it still was gross white stains on chair walls with dirty lines lampshades with stains. We got upgraded and that was the state of the executive room, I honestly cried ..room had the oldest television 📺 no updated features..I'll attach photos but never again will I spend money in the hilton or hold any of my business conferences there unless there is a change
