Known as the Venice of the North, the quaint streets of Bruges, Belgium are postcard-picture perfect. Part of the Dutch speaking part of Belgium known as Flanders, Bruges is a medieval city replete with city walls, winding cobblestone streets, bustling town squares, and beautiful canals lined with homes that look like gingerbread cutouts. In the heart of it all find a gem in The Hotel Heritage, where old world refinement and luxury meet modern pampering and indulgence. The Heritage is a haven of comfort and style in this romantic city of canals and history. Recently The Hotel Heritage successfully completed a full renovation of its four suites, and has designed a new lounge, named Le Magnum. This new lounge is a bar concept located inside the 24-room hotel, with the ambience of a private club featuring elegant banquettes and a small library.

Beautiful hotel in nice part of town. Staff was very helpful with tours, restaurants and drivers both before and after and after we arrived

There is nothing that is too much trouble for the phenomenal staff at this superb hotel. From the moment we arrived and the lady rushed out to help with our cases, to the warm welcome with detailed hotel information, local map provided and highlights for our visit discussed to the discount card provided for local attractions and that was only the start! Our luggage was taken to our room and a member of the reception team did a tour of our room (standard double) to show us the lights, digital radio, coffee and tea making facilities, complimentary water and fruit and paid for items in mini bar and snack tray. I mentioned fresh milk and some was brought up for us to put in the fridge to have for tea. In the evening there was a turn down service with complimentary chocolates. The bed was incredibly comfortable (unlike other places we had stayed in Belgium) and high quality bedding is used. Lovely toiletries provided in the bathroom and robes and slippers. Having two telephones is luxurious, a writing desk, table and chairs and fridge are all well placed to make the most of the space. iPads cannot be cast to the TVs but there are BBC channels (as well as other international channels) and the hotel are in the process of upgrading. All the hotel information is provided on an iPad in the room and in the beautiful bar the menu is provided on a device. There is a piano that can be played and a high quality swivel chess board for enthusiasts. Breakfast is extensive and delicious with hot and cold options. Service was impeccable with the highest quality silverware. In reception there is complimentary water and Easter chocolates for the time of year. The hammam sauna, steam room spa area can be booked to use for a private session and it is a relaxing space with showers and loungers. The gym is also well designed with a variety of equipment. Location wise this hotel could not be better off the main square and is better than the hotels by the canal that are swamped with many tourists outside and dealing with the associated noise. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will highly recommend this amazing hotel and will be back!

What a great place! One of the nicest hotels with a terrific staff, location, food and rooms. There is a private sauna and steam room to use at no charge. The breakfast was tasty and the service impeccable.

A WOW of a property! Absolutely magnificent 18th century Maison converted to a small(23 rooms) boutique hotel. Location is just off the main markt and central to all you want to see and do while in Bruges. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Of exceptional note was one of their front end staff; Nathan. He made dinner recommendations and reservations for us, gave his advice on what to see, do, and avoid. He enhanced our stay in every way. Their champagne breakfast was delicious. Our room was well appointed right down to the warm heated radiant floor in the bathroom. Staying here helped us imagine what Bruges was like in its history and I could not more highly recommend this wonderful hotel!

What a spectacular and memorable visit to this charming hotel. From the moment of check-in, we were warmly received and treated to service and dining and rooms that were truly amazing. A special acknowledgment goes to Nathan at the front desk who provided absolutely spot on recommendations for both lunch and dinner. In addition, he gave us excellent recommendations for sites to visit around Bruges. Their breakfast service is an event not to be missed, both for the superior food and the excellent service. The hotel is spectacularly maintained and was truly a pleasure to visit. It will definitely not be my last visit - excellent on all levels.
