We went as a family for Christmas in December, to see the Christmas Markets. While I think the location is a nice one, I was so disappointed in the customer service that I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. When trying to speak with the manager regarding my concerns, I was given told they were not available after calling twice, and given incorrect emails and information. It is very much about the money and not at all about the service or satisfaction of those staying at the hotel. I did have the gentleman who responds to complaints reach out to tell me he is sorry. But he basically just took each of my concerns and added we apologize before them. Cut and paste.

Excellent service at the check in desk by Jara. She was phenomenal to work with! Room was spacious and well organized. Good view to the plaza outside. Bathroom also spacious with options for both shower and tub. King size bed very comfortable to sleep on.

Main reason to stay here is the location directly across from the train station and close to the Grand Place. Rooms were nice; bed comfortable. Couldn’t get the thermostat to work, so we left our windows open somewhat at night, otherwise it would have gotten too hot in the room. Our shower also didn’t drain properly. Executive lounge was useless. When we went there was nothing was out or available. Totally pointless to have one.

Recent two day weekend stay here during Christmastime. I can say that the location is very good being close to Brussels Midi rail station and very close to Grand Place, which gets dangerously packed with tourists during this time. The lobby is fine, with a couple of restaurants (one more of a bar) and a convenience store. Strangely, the hotel has no rear entrance which would seem to be more convenient to get to Grand Place, which is pretty much directly behind the hotel. From the main entrance, just across the Plaza is the entrance to Brussels Central Station, from which you can get around Brussels, including to Brussels Midi where you get the Eurostar. So the location is the main draw here. We stayed in one of the King Junior Suites with Lounge Access. Rate was about 400 EUR per night. Oddly configured room on 5th floor, with seemingly two baths, but actually one had a shower and tub and the other had the toilet. Water pressure was excellent and bath(s) were nice enough so no complaint there. Windows single paned and could hear people in rear courtyard pretty clearly even from fifth floor so not ideal. Bed was okay not great I suppose but clearly the hotel could use a refresh. Room had two large tvs which is a plus and tons of channels from every corner of the world. Breakfast room was crowded but fairly decent choices on offer I suppose, Not the worst I’ve seen but far, far from what you would consider a good breakfast selection, particularly in a place like Belgium. The absolute worst offender was the “Executive Lounge” on the main floor, which was painfully small, lacked pretty much anything resembling what you might expect in a real executive lounge, and was constantly occupied by large families. Really, they should just not have a lounge if this is the best they can come up with. Also, at the “happy hour”, which again was jam packed, I found no beer selection at all and maybe two bottles of cheap wine. Really just a pathetic display and really knocked major points off this otherwise decent property. We were also regaled on the Saturday evening with a large pro Palestinian rally directly in front of the hotel between it and the rail station. Not the Hilton’s fault of course, but not exactly heartwarming either to be in the middle of a large protest as we are entering and leaving. There is a main bar room also on the main level which is small, but fine. I had stayed here many years back when it was a Le Meridien and remember it being much better overall.

The location cannot be any better. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel feels quiet and safe. I’ve stayed at a lot of Hilton properties and this one definitely rivals as a very good one. The only negative is, the bar drinks are more expensive than normal (compared to the area and compared to hotel drinks). Rooms also have a small fridge which is a nice touch, and not always provided.
