Smack dab in the middle of Brussels, great hotel with efficient features in the room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

- ACCESSIBILITY: Walking distance to major attractions such as the Belgian Royal Arts Gallery, Royal Palace, Grand Place and even the E.U. Parliament! - CULINARY EXCELLENCE: Delicious and diverse options at buffet breakfast. They will also cook and deliver food to your room even when the restaurant is closed. - COMFORTABLE ROOMS WITH THOUGHTFUL TOUCHES: The room was not only comfortable and pleasant to be in, but it also had thoughtful touches such as an international power outlet that was good for U.S., Japanese and British plugs, and towel drying rack in the bathroom - your towel will be all warm and dry the next time you need it.

Fabulous Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

This has got to be the best hotel in Brussels. It ticks all the boxes - the quality of staff, facilities, the location with marvellous views, excellent and comfortable room, the great breakfast, and all at a very reasonable price. My wife and I can't fault it.

Perfect hotel for a short stay in Brussels

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Very nice hotel that was super clean and right in the heart Brussels. Staff was friendly and very accommodating for check in. Very easy to get from the train station and within walking distance to quite a bit of the sites/restaurants we wanted to visit. We went right after Christmas so there were markets all over within a 10 min walk. Only reasons for not giving 5 stars is that our room was right next to the elevators so very noisy, and also our refrigerator would get very loud in the middle of the night. Would definitely stay again due to the cleanliness, location, and price.

Beautiful hotel but recurring service issues disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

A very beautiful hotel located in Sablon, right in the historic center. The reception is always well-organized and welcoming. However, the main issue is that, for the second time I’ve stayed here, I’ve experienced problems with the housekeeping staff. They either enter early in the morning or knock at least three times at different hours, insisting on cleaning the room (perhaps) in an overly persistent way. Cleaning should be done when the guest has left, but apparently, rooms are not cleaned in the afternoon. Despite requesting the room to be cleaned, it wasn’t done on two occasions. Secondly, the hairdryer was broken, with exposed copper wires sparking dangerously. We narrowly avoided a serious accident. We immediately reported the issue to reception, and they promised to fix the hairdryer, but nothing was done for room no. 125 (be careful!). My disappointment stems mainly from the fact that if I’m paying for a hotel to enjoy all its services, these should be provided. Treating a guest who spends €1,600 for 4 nights (without breakfast included) as if they were insignificant is simply unacceptable. Aside from these recurring issues, which I’ve now come to expect every year, everything else was fine.
