Nice boutique hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Good quality boutique hotel near the centre of Brussels. Friendly staff who were very flexible on room allocation and an engaging approach to clients. Rooms were modern, comfortable, with free workable wi-fi, but missing a desk area to work. Tea and coffee making facilities provided, and a kettle was very welcome. Beds were comfortable and adequate number of pillows, and the aircon worked quietly. Usual challenges with plugs working in sinks (they didn't) and leakage from the shower (it did) which could do with some regular maintenance. Pick a view away from the main road for a quiet night. A pleasant breakfast area but limited communal areas, which is typical of hotels of this kind. Would visit again.

Should have trained staff better

Good location next to metro and shopping centre. Staff wasn’t really friendly, every time when I walked passed reception they were not greeting us at all. Restaurant was not so busy for dinner but there were only 2 staff serving at the time we visited so everything was slow and long wait. The day I had to checkout, at 10am while I was in the toilet room the housekeeping opened the door and got into my room without knocking she came in even though I put do not disturb in front of my door. I asked how could you get in didn’t you see do not disturb sign? She just talk to me “departure “ so I said so? I’ll checkout at 11 o’clock. Then she just walked out without any apologies. I called reception they investigated and called me back to say sorry and complimented me with some Accor point. First 2 nights was ok but the checkout day I really can’t accept that the housekeeping opened my door with do not disturb sign and without knocking. I was just by the door I could hear people came in. When I checked out at reception no one even said sorry again… what a standard!!

A comfortable place to stay in Brussels.

Clean, comfortable, extremely friendly staff. Well located. Room was good sized, quiet. Requires going up escalator from street level. Lobby decor needed a bit of updating. Appropriately nice linens. Easy check in and check out. Overall very comfortable.

Won't be Back

Room was OK but disappointed as was expecting five star comfort. In fact the room appeared like a 3* or 4* Mercure standard with very small beds. Also the room was cold although an engineer fixed it. The main issue was the horrible treatment on checkout by reception. We advised that we did not take breakfast and were not believed. Left waiting while they went to check with the restaurant and came back and still insisted we had it. Finally, the manager intervened. We do not appreciate being treated as liars. Also dinner service was poor (we got tired of waiting and stood up to pay in the end, missing dessert). The location is an an upmarket part of Brussels, however we were warned about walking to the Gare du Midi which indeed is in a quite sleazy area, not so far away.

The location is great, near some offices, a lot of shops and restaurant around. the room are nice & well decorated (superior) ; the room can be equiped either with shower either with a tube ; the breakfast selection is really good. (can not comment the diner or drinks however the lounge looks nice)
