Reviews for Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest

Excellent hotel in Budapest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Very close to the center of Budapest and walking distance from most of Budapest attractions. Kempinski is very well know hotel chain and as such the expectations were high. I visted the hotel as part of working convention we had in Budapest in the hotel. The room I got was big with king size bed and a lot of space to move in. The working area in this room was quite comfortable. More sockets for electricity would be nice. Obviously, free WiFi (as it is standard today in all hotels of this level) provides an adequate environment for the business traveler. Bathroom (both bath and shower room which is my preference) big and very comfortable. The only problem with the room is that the window from the 9th floor was lacking interesting view. Breakfast was very good and rich with basic vegetables variety, same for cheese and pastries and English breakfast. American coffee or tea by default or you can order other coffee if you like. All the rest of required ingredients are there. We had company events and not only us, meaning the hotel has many large meeting rooms and meeting areas which is great for business event. The hotel is very fancy with a very nice lobby are and many places to work or rest and by that provides you the capability also to conduct meetings in the hotel lobby area. Service of staff was courteous. I didn’t need them too much but whenever did they were pleasant and cooperative. All in all the hotel is very welcoming and very recommended, obviously you can imagine it is in the high range of prices.

Great location

The hotel is in a great central position and everything is easy to get to from there. We went over the New Year and one of the reasons for the timing was that the Christmas markets in Budapest are open until 1 January and a friend we travelled with was keen to go. There were in fact two markets in close proximity to the hotel which we went to several times. Our room was large and very comfortable. There was everything we needed for a 6 night break. We only had breakfast there on New Year's Day. It was a buffet and catered for all tastes. However, we like to go out and try different places and there were lots of good restaurants and cafes close by. We used the bar a few times, which was good and not overly expensive. The concierges and the 'ladies in red' in particular were very knowledgeable and helpful.

PERFECT LOCATION

We booked a 4 day package - the package included early check-in and a drink at the terrace - on arrival the room, they gave us the wrong room, and then the room I booked was not ready. We were very tired and asked to speak with the manager the manager came out and she is very pleasant and made sure our room was ready as soon as possible and offered us a free cake coffee in the terrace. Throughout our stay, the manager made sure we were OK, and she also sent us chocolates. The hotel is in a perfect location - shopping area restaurants danube river with in minutes of the hotel. The spa area is very nice and clean. The premium deluxe room is very spacious. Only a slight issue we had the tv did not load. We had called the front desk at least 4 times. This hotel is perfect all staff are very pleasant especially the manager if you ready this post just like to say a big THANK YOU.

Amazing family friendly stay in Budapest Center

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! We stayed for 3 nights and wish we stayed longer. We stayed in a Junior suite - plenty of room and beautifully decorated. We were with our one year old son and they had set up the room ahead of time with a crib, comfy crib mattress, and diaper pail! Reception also gave our son a little plush animal when we arrived - such a welcoming touch. Breakfast was also great! And you’re so close to everything walking or easy via 2 super close metro stations. Highly recommend!

Waiting for a river cruise to start in Budapest.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We were waiting on our river cruise to start and Amex booked into this wonderful hotel for two nights. We were very happy with the professional, but friendly and helpful staff and our room was spacious and a comfortable bed topped it off. We had an excellent meal at the NOBU Restaurant and the hotel breakfast was a substantial buffet which catered for all tastes. We also had dinner at the Brasserie which was another great meal. Very hard for me to find any fault in my overall experience at the Kempinski Hotel in Budapest. I would recommend it as a great place to stay, but also add that it is not a budget type hotel.
