Great staffs!!

I’d like to thank Torei and Malee for providing such kind hospitality every morning at the restaurant. I loved the way they treat customers. They are very cheerful, friendly, and delicate. The Ritz-Carlton Budapest is so lucky to have these two ladies because they make me to choose this hotel again.

Lovely Experience

Our stay at The Ritz Carlton Budapest was amazing! The room was very spacious with a stunning view on the park, we enjoyed the spa and the excellent breakfast. The entire staff has been so nice! A special thanks goes to Akos, Kyla and Sander for their warm welcome upon check in, István and Akos from concierge for their great recommendations about the city and restaurants, Monika for her warm farewell upon check out and last but not least we truly appreciated the breakfast service that Darma delivered to us every morning with his smile and caring attitude. We recommend this property to everyone and we can’t wait to stay there again soon!

Amazing food and service

Amazing service and food at Ottimo tonight. Beautiful place, gorgeous food and drinks, particularly the pasta dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed for such an elegant and high class place. Big shout out to David, who was the best host and waiter, so lovely and helpful. Couldn’t recommend enough.

The definition of great service and value

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Excellent service from start to finish. Each staff member was attentive and friendly - a special thanks to Greg, who took my baggage to my room and welcomed me with the most pleasant attitude. My only complaints are that on two nights there was some light tobacco smoke coming to my room, and as a Christmas market was being set up outside the building, sounds of music and people talking loudly bothered my sleep one evening (the windows aren't soundproof). But all in all I very much enjoyed my 4-night-stay in the superior room on the 3rd floor. Thank you, the staff of Ritz-Carlton Budapest! I will be coming back.

Average. Housekeeping and Service Quality issues.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I expected more from a Ritz Carlton given their brand status and reputation for consistency around the world. Most of the shortfalls came in service quality by the staff and cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel room. The common areas were nice enough. The front desk staff was helpful at check in and check out - however at times they seemed a bit slow as lines were forming at check in that were slow to resolve. A fresh drink was provided at check in which was nice after a long journey to get there. The room was ok but it definitely had cleanliness problems and quality of amenities that were not up to a 5 star hotel expectations: mildew in the shower and tile immediately surrounding it; hairs on the bathroom counter that were not mine; scratchy towels that were not white or fluffy that you would expect; toiletries not replaced in some cases unless I requested it. The air conditioning in the room was not great - although it was Europe it was still warm outside in September and the air conditioning did not alleviate the humidity and warmth in the room, making sleeping difficult. Overall design and decor of the room felt a bit dated and in need of a refresh and modernization. Wifi had intermittent periods of dropping my signal or weak/low bandwidth - while being on business, that is a problem for online meetings and large files in email. When calling for resolving these issues it took forever for the front desk to answer the phone, even at what seemed like there were not busy times during weekdays. Some requests I made simply went unresolved (such as bleaching the black mold in the shower tile grout). One bellman/doorman was great when he was on duty - helpful with directions and cars - while the other one could care less about helping me. It felt like I was bothering him to even ask - not a great attitude. The club lounge had nice food - the service was good but it also felt smothering - always asking how you are doing and what you were wanting; but doing it too frequently. My perception of this hotel overall was that although it was 5 stars and a Ritz Carlton, it felt like a 4 Starr hotel not in the luxury category. Considering the room rate, that shouldn't have been that way.

Le Meridien, Budapest, which included a dinner and certain other amenities, was an outstanding experience. The suite was very large, comfortable and quiet - everything we could have asked for. The dinner was "no holds barred" including, to my great surprise, an excellent bottle of wine. All in all, the experience was absolutely first-rate.
