I highly recommend staying at the Ritz Carlton Budapest. From the moment we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by George at Valet. He was so welcoming and polite. The female employees at check in were very accommodating and helpful; explaining the cities geography and historical sites. The entire staff that we encountered whether it was in the bar lounge with Viktoria or club lounge, valets, restaurant servers; they wanted to please the hotel guests. We so enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the location was perfect; especially with the proximity to the Christmas markets.

I would like to share feedback regarding our recent in-room dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton Budapest, with the hope that it will contribute to improving the service for future guests. Key Concerns: Delivery Delay: It took two hours for our order to arrive, which was far beyond the expected delivery time. Considering it was a special occasion—Christmas dinner on December 24th—this was particularly disappointing. If delays were unavoidable due to high demand, we would have appreciated being informed honestly. In that case, we could have chosen to dine at an open restaurant instead. Staff Attitude: The male staff member who delivered the food made no mention of the delay and seemed unfriendly and unprofessional. This behavior was far from the gentlemanly service we expect from The Ritz-Carlton and left a very poor impression. Order Discrepancy: We ordered penne, but spaghetti was delivered instead. Moreover, the penne was overly spicy, resembling Thai cuisine, while the Arrabbiata lacked salt and had a presentation that can only be described as "the end." Food Quality: The taste and quality of the dishes fell far short of our expectations for The Ritz-Carlton. As a certified chef in Japan with six years of experience, I regret to say the food was inedible. If the dishes were prepared according to your standards, I apologize for the misunderstanding, but they did not meet our expectations. Additionally, we took the dishes to the front desk to inquire if the taste was correct, but we did not receive a response. As compensation, the hotel offered a transfer service to the station. However, it seems this has become a habitual response to any issues, which is disappointing. Given that we waited for two hours, the time spent far outweighs the value of a transfer service, making it an insufficient form of compensation. This experience was our final memory of Budapest, and unfortunately, it became our worst memory of the trip. By contrast, in the neighboring city of Vienna, we experienced outstanding hospitality and exceptional in-room dining, highlighting a significant disparity in service quality. Furthermore, The Ritz-Carlton holds a special place in our hearts, as it was the venue for our wedding reception. This only adds to the disappointment of this recent experience. This feedback comes from a Japanese Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member and a certified chef with six years of experience. I have also attached photos for your reference, which I hope will help improve the experience for future guests. For anyone considering in-room dining, I would advise exercising caution. We are not seeking compensation, but the attitude of the male staff member who delivered the food was particularly disheartening and fell far short of professional standards. The Ritz-Carlton has always been a place where we have enjoyed wonderful service and created cherished memories. This experience, however, was a significant deviation from those expectations. I firmly believe such incidents can be prevented with better preparation and communication. I hope this feedback helps improve the service quality for other guests in the future. Right in the city center and 5 minute walk from the Danube River. A ferris wheel and a Christmas market are located right across from the Ritz. The hotel was decorated for Christmas. The best parts were that the service at the front desk was excellent- although our room was not ready at 11am check-in (as expected) we were offered to spend time at the spa until it was ready. In the meantime they asked housekeeping to prioritize our room cleaning and it was ready within 45 min- they exceeded expectations! Our room was large, beautiful and clean and beds super comfortable. We had one challenge with housekeeping continuing to enter our room throughout the day for service, walking all the way into our room several times- there was no door sign available to ask for privacy and when they rang the doorbell it was only seconds later that they walked into the room, giving no time to ask them to return a different time. Other than that it was a nice stay, good location, and value for the price.

Usually, no matter how great a hotel is, you can always find small flaws—but not at the Ritz Carlton Budapest. This hotel is truly a gem in every aspect. Every department, without exception, operates at the highest level of excellence, setting a standard that is hard to match. A big thank you goes to Amey, the Assistant Restaurant Manager, for his warm and exceptional service. His hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. His proactiveness and warm attitude added a personal touch to our breakfast experience, making us feel relaxed and completely at home. On our last day, we were pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful gesture—a beautifully arranged fruit platter, accompanied by a heartfelt message from Amey expressing the pleasure of meeting us. It was a perfect reflection of the personalized care and attention this hotel provides. We also had the pleasure of engaging with Mr. Istephan, the Concierge,his passion for his role is evident, and we truly enjoyed the meaningful conversations we had together. The entire team at the Ritz Carlton Budapest goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you for an incredible experience—we will surely return and recommend this gem to others!”

We loved our stay at RC Budapest. By far the highlight was Liliana from the breakfast service in the Kupola Lounge. My kids are obsessed with her and she was an angel. Playing with them, giving them coloring books and little bears, everything. My kids were excited for breakfast each day just to see her. They even asked me if she can come back to London with us. Cannot recommend this hotel more!

Le Meridien, Budapest, which included a dinner and certain other amenities, was an outstanding experience. The suite was very large, comfortable and quiet - everything we could have asked for. The dinner was "no holds barred" including, to my great surprise, an excellent bottle of wine. All in all, the experience was absolutely first-rate.
