A luxurious boutique hotel, 1828 Smart Hotel offers a stylish venue in the trendiest neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The bright, beautiful rooms with calming colors and whites are designed with gorgeous details. Complimenting the charming room décor are Italian marble bathrooms and deluxe amenities, along with striking views of the pool or surrounding neighborhood.

After genuine reflection, and a fabulous night’s sleep, I’m adding a better and more representative review of this gorgeous little hotel. Yes, there could be a little more information (ie prices of extras), but it’s a lovely unique hotel. During the week days, there was the most delightful, kind and helpful lady cooking breakfast. She kept us topped up with water and coffee, and the eggs Benedict were delicious. The hotel desk is manned 24 hours a day, and each member of staff spoke excellent English and were very informative about the local area, and very efficient at responding to any enquiry. The pool, though tiny, is lovely, and the waterfall feature not only masked sounds of the city, but made the courtyard seem cooler and far more relaxing. One thing which stands out is the level of decor. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and it’s a pleasure to look around. So much attention has gone into details and the owners (a private family, rather than a corporate entity) have invested a lot into adding their branded products all over. It’s in a quiet street, but only a block or so away from bars and restaurants. Would we stay here again? Yes, like a shot.

A very small, smart boutique hotel in Palermo. Lots of nice little restaurants nearby. Very few rooms (I’d guess around 12). Ours was af a very good size, beautifully decorated and comfortable. It feels far more friendly than the big corporate hotels, and is far more unique. How to improve : information in the room, please. There’s a fridge, filled with cans, but no price list. There’s a filled water bottle, but no explanation as to where to re-fill it (it’s on floor -1 , in the Spa area). Downstairs, there’s food laid out for at least part of the day (until 8pm) but no explanation, and cans of drinks - again, no explanation or price list. We had little explanation upon our arrival and felt a little abandoned. The website (which looks beautiful) also doesn’t explain what is charged or not, not does it mention the snacks available in the breakfast area.

Absolutely everything I needed and more! Spacious and clean room. Check and out was a breeze. The staff was terrific. I would stay here every time I come to Buenos Aires! The Palermo Soho neighborhood is fantastic but not far from the rest of the neighborhoods. And the Food in the area is amazing

Nicolas at the front desk saved me . He helped me find a place to buy something I lost. Exceptional service. The desk person yesterday helped a lot with getting it started plus recommending a wonderful restaurant nearby.. Everyone here is great. Very knowledgeable. Food and room great. Great location Highly recommend staying here .

I loved this hotel! The location in Palermo SoHo was ideal and the hotel had a very nice boutique feel to it. Although small, the hotel had a nice pool/fountain area, and inviting lobby and restaurant, and the rooms were comfortable and modern.
