The Alvear Palace Hotel is beautiful and exquisite. We had a lovely meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service is great and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Buenos Aires. It is in an excellent part of the city with many places to walk to. It also has great shopping within the hotel.

I was disappointed in the stay here. The service was great, however, for the price that we paid for the room I would have expected it to be more updated and for the AC to work. We had two rooms, one room was fine, however, the second room, the AC did not work and my husband and sons did not sleep at all, as they were hot all night. We tried to fix it but it didn't work. I would have expected a good night sleep in such a nice hotel, however, that was not the case. There was a strong smell of perfume all over the hotel as well. The location was good.

Stayed here for one night before starting a trip to Antarctica. Located in the excellent location in Rectoleta area, close to the Cemetery as well as restaurants. Beautiful old world hotel. Large rooms. Very nice restaurant/bar off the lobby with nice selection of drinks and food.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and staff is above amazing!! Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and clean. The hotel bar restaurant is wonderful. Staff was amazing as was the food. The hotel staff from the minute I arrived (soooo sweet!) to the reception, concierge and all! All very helpful and knowledgeable and would go out of their way to assist in anything needed. I love them and this hotel!

Fantastic period hotel, but you will pay top dollar to experience it!! Excellent location, with many attractions in walking distance, including a great art and craft market in a small park just outside Recoleta Cemetery. All the staff are polite, professional and attentive, speaking excellent English. We received a superb service from every staff member we encountered. The period rooms were spacious, clean tidy and well appointed. Room service was efficient and still hot when we received it (not always the case in every hotel) Very efficient and effective concierge process. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended if you have the budget for it.
