Casa Dorada Resort & Spa

This is our tenth year when we are coming to Casa Dorada. My husband and me love this place with beautiful views from any unit and unbeatable swimming. People , who work there are very friendly and helpful, many of them are working for many years and always greeting us by first names and we feel very welcome. The units are very spacious and keeping clean, but of course it started to show their aging. It would nice to have some changes in furnishing, kitchen appliances and dishes. The building was build very solid and with good noise protection. Unfortunately, it’s hard to avoid a loud music and noise coming from “Mango” establishment. This time we had a free breakfast including and was very good quality and many choices . Thank you to the manager( sorry, I didn’t catch your name), waiters, who serve inside and on the beach. Thank you for providing us with delicious sandwiches for take out. It was a nice and classy touch. I will continue with restaurant 12 Tribes where we had a few nice dinners. Food was good, we specially liked Italian night and would like to see in future more variety of thematic dinners, it was nice to have live music on some nights. Thanks to the manager Carlos, our waitress Marlena who we know for many years. Our appreciation to guys working on the beach as Emilio, Carlos and sorry if I didn’t mention other names. My friend left her phone on the beach and it was immediately found and return to the front desk. People working at bell’s boys service are always friendly and helpful. Thank you! The front desk receptionists are very efficient and answer all questions and believe me, I always have a lot. The manager Francisco has a very good team of patient people who I bothered even late at night and they always tried to solve my little problems. Thank you, Manuel , Carlos and others guys. And my last special thanks to the director of room department Anahi Calderon, who helped me with our accommodations for our group and all our needs. Thank you, Anahi! Sorry, I forgot to mention people from reservation department as Eruby and Miriam. Thanks to general manager of Casa Dorada Leonardo Perli for having such a great team and making our vacation very special for many years. Feliz Navidad y Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Lifeguard staff is horrible and rude. Avoid at all costs as there are many other options at this price. Not even worth 100 words.

Casa Dorada is in a great location. Can easily walk to Walmart, shops, restaurants and Marina. The staff is great. From the front desk to the bell boys, coffee shop ladies and pool waiters, everyone is friendly and accommodating. The resort itself is the same since it opened. I believe its been open 20 years now or so. Could use some updates. My only real complaint is the price of food and beverages at the resort. Everything is extremely overpriced. We would have stayed in and ate there more often during our stay but the prices pushed us out to the surrounding bars and restaurants that are more affordable.

We had such a lovely time at Casa Dorada. The resort had everything for our family. A playground for our one year old, swimming pool and beach front access for our 18 year old, several restaurants with bars (including a pool bar!) and a relaxing spa. Included in our stay was a free photo shoot! Ilse made it easy to book our photo session. We took our family portrait on the beach!
