Like the city itself, The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo carries a rich legacy of tradition and luxury. Overlooking the Nile River, the hotel continues along the path of decadence with 5-star amenities including an Olympic-sized pool, a rooftop lounge, spacious accommodations with river and museum views, a relaxing spa and a tempting patisserie. Guests are simultaneously immersed in the culture of Cairo and the lavishness of the hotel.

Lovely hotel, very comfortable with a nice view on the Nile. Rooms were so clean and Suliman took good care of keeping the room clean and asking us if we needed any thing during our four night stay. Loved the smooth check in & check out and the nice touch of providing you with a nice mango juice on arrival. Well recommended.

Very disappointed. Worst Ritz we have ever stayed in. We were guests with Amawaterways who always reserves non smoking rooms. We were assigned to room 620 (a non smoking floor in the hotel). Returned late to our room only to have a very loud party next door with lots of smoking. We had to repack that night and be moved to another floor adding to a very late night with an early morning excursion the next day. We were exhausted and frustrated. From what other guests told us the next day the party lasted til 4 in the morning and the hallway on the 6th floor smelled of smoke the next day. The saddest part was that we did not even receive an apology from management! By the way all our lights went on at 3:45 am in our new room. What’s that about? This also happened to a fellow traveler, not just us. Glad we’re vacating today. Do not stay at THIS Ritz. Other properties owned by Ritz have been exceptional, but NOT this one.

The Nile Ritz-Carlton is a beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very attentive, especially Mohamoud who worked on the fifth floor during our stay. The only problem with this hotel is the noise. There was very loud music until about 1:30 a.m. each night we were there, and the road construction (jack hammers) created noise until about 4:00 a.m. The noise was bad enough that people on the higher floors also complained about it. The location of this hotel is great and, as a bonus, there is a bank in the lobby that stays open almost 24 hours, so you can change money, etc.

It’s the Ritz so one would expect top tier. The food was very good and one of a few places that offers good wine by the glass. Some of the staff don’t appear to be fully trained. As I finished some dishes they were left on the table for the remainder

The hotel is old and needs remodeling/refreshing . The windows are old hence no insulation which lets noise come in . Noise from traffic and a disco opposite kept us awake all night. Staff is friendly and polite. It seems to be a business hotel with men in dark clothes all over . Hardly any families or couples. There were so many hanging out in the lobby entrance that it becomes uncomfortable . The HVAC did not work properly. The problem was with the thermostat and it would not let the temperature stay stable. Either freezing or too hot . The tech must have come 10 times with no solution. Would not stay again.
