Like the city itself, The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo carries a rich legacy of tradition and luxury. Overlooking the Nile River, the hotel continues along the path of decadence with 5-star amenities including an Olympic-sized pool, a rooftop lounge, spacious accommodations with river and museum views, a relaxing spa and a tempting patisserie. Guests are simultaneously immersed in the culture of Cairo and the lavishness of the hotel.

Had a wonderful stay at this Ritz Carlton. Was visiting Egypt with family from TX USA and this is one of the best places we stayed at. Staff are professional and friendly. Special thanks to Ahmed Hanafy and Mohamed Abdelhady for keeping our suite clean. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Service was excellent and staff very accommodating. The room temperature controls worked flawlessly and the WIFI was free with a strong signal. All items in the room worked properly. The room was very clean, and we had daily room service. Check in was quick and easy which is a big plus after a long trip. All the restaurants had excellent food; especially enjoyed the lobby restaurant which had great food and excellent service. The mattress and pillows were excellent. Lighting in the room was adequate, and we had a great view of the Nile from our balcony. The room was a bit dated, and the bathroom could use better showerheads. The lobby is magnificent, and the daily breakfast was superb with a wide variety of food. Overall, up to the standards of the Ritz and I would definitely stay here again.

I had a really lovely time. The food was great in the lounge and Hasham Ali was a superb host. The club sandwiches a must try. The place is great for family and the AC is always on so temperature is perfect. They have an outdoor seating too. All staff are friendly

In summary hotel is nice, convenient, but too noisy to repeat a visit. The whole 12th floor with the lounge is petty. I spent a full week at the hotel on a business trip. I ate in the different restaurants, used the well equipped gym, the pool and had a massage. The services and facilities are all great. The staff were very welcoming, attentive and eager to make my stay enjoyable. I also used the concierge desk to squeeze in an early morning trip to the pyramids before work. When I checked in I got a room upgrade (Marriott Bonvoy status plus booking with American Express platinum). I requested a quiet room because I had read other reviews. I got a nice room at the end of the corridor facing the Nile. Even with a quiet room Cairo is noisy. But most of the week this was bearable (may have been an issue on a lower floor). But I was here on a Thursday night and there was loud music until the early hours of the morning. Then at 3am guests in a room nearby returned and were louder than I’ve ever heard guests be in a hotel. I’m guessing it’s a cultural thing as the weekend starts, but it was shocking. Another detail is the floor they put me on is the top floor with the ritz Carlton lounge. With most hotel brands if you are on the club floor you get access. But when I tried to access the lounge I was told it was an extra $80/day for undefined benefits, so I passed. Really when they put me on the 12th floor at reception they could have mentioned the lounge was an added optional expense. Overall, my experience was good but I question coming back here on my next trip due to the noise.

Great service on this hotel. Loved in particular the Ritz bar. Cosy and good array of drinks. Alber was fantastic. Sometimes there are parties on the ground floor, so a must to have rooms facing the Nile if you don’t want to be disturbed. Overall my top choice in Cairo.
