The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo

Firstly I would like to say this has been an amazing stay at the Ritz Carlton Nile. The hotel is gorgeous and the amenities are wonderful. It is walking distance from the Egyptian Museum which is great. What made our stay extremely special was the wonderful staff throughout the hotel. When I say the Egyptian people are the kindest and most lovely we have ever met, I really mean it. They would go out of the way and help us with everything that we needed. I would like to give a special recommendation to all of these areas of the hotel. The front desk staff is great. Thank you to Helmi who helped us always so kindly at the front desk, always greeting us with a smile and much kindness. Nardine was so kind in the lobby as well, making sure we were having a great stay. Ahmed helped us wonderfully during checkout and he even knew some Spanish! (We are Cuban) Thank you to Amr Ismail at the entrance to the hotel for helping us in everything and giving us recommendations in the city. He is wonderful and a very sweet gentleman, if you need anything he is always willing to help. Thank you to the ladies at the Spa, who gave us an amazing experience and the best massages we’ve ever had. Rawan at the front desk was very sweet and efficient. Our masseuses Rully and Toom were amazing therapists, we have done many massages throughout the world and I can say they were the best. The breakfast at this hotel is spectacular. The quality of the food is delicious and the severs are wonderful. The maître d' Sayed Farouk made sure that we were always taken care of and had great service. He is a very kind man and we are very appreciative. Thank you to our waiter at the breakfast Ahmed Ibrahim for tending to all of our needs and preparing a wonderful selection of Egyptian food for us to try at breakfast. This breakfast experience is definitely the best in Egypt and probably top in the world. Thank you to the gentlemen from housekeeping that kept our room pristine. They were always so helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us. As an example, Mahmoud Abodaif, noticed that my father uses a sleep apnea machine and left purified water for the machine without us even asking! He was so kind and so is all of the staff at housekeeping - they noticed we like to pick up Arabic words and they gave us a sheet with common Arabic words. So wonderful! Thank you to our housekeeper at night Mohamed Gouda for also going above and beyond! The lobby lounge is wonderful. We had dinner here every night for the three nights we stayed. The ambiance is wonderful and so is the food and service. We dined with fine china next to a live piano player. The food was scrumptious and wonderful quality. The chefs do an amazing job. The servers we had made our experience extra special. Belal Saeid and Mahmoud made sure we were well taken care of and are very respectable young men. We were happy to see them every night as they made us feel very welcome. We appreciate their help during our stay. All in all, the hotel is great and I would 100% stay here again the next time I come to Cairo. You will not find a better hotel or staff in all of Cairo. I picked this place for the location next to the Cairo Museum. It was really easy to walk to and back to the museum. The room was beautiful with a view of Tahrir square. The Italian restaurant was ok, nothing great. Breakfast buffet was great. Lovely hotel.

This hotel is nothing special. Rooms are dated, furniture worn, windows are not insulated so you hear traffic noise 24/7. The location is good overall and the breakfast buffet was very nice, but everything else was unremarkable, and the whole experience was ruined by the overuse of heavy scent diffusers in all the common areas; the chemicals spray in the air 24/7 and really irritated my eyes, the scent is way too strong, not to mention carcinogenic.

An absolutely superb stay at the Ritz Carlton in Cairo. From the beautiful impeccably clean rooms, fabulous gym, wonderful room service and service with a smile in every instance. Thank you Ritz Carlton, you are truly appreciated and a genuine 5 star hotel in any country :)
