Amazing Front Desk Staff
I'm the CEA to the Chairman/CEO of our company. His schedule can put him in anywhere from 4 to 6 cities a week - which can lead to last minute changes or adjustment when any piece falls through or cancels. I called the front desk needed to add an additional night to his current reservation. Mariana on the front desk was so helpful - so patient and reassuring - I knew I was and he would be in good hands. Mariana's kind of customer focus just isn't common anymore and I couldn't not acknowledge. We will be returning to this hotel when in Boston!

Excellent experience
We hosted our engagement party at Monteverdi and stayed at the hotel. Marianna at the desk greeted us with such enthusiasm, kindness, and service. She ensured our stay was comfortable as well as my mother-in-law’s. We had a kind suite with the most incredible river view. This really made our stay feel extra special. The bellman who carried our luggage was so kind and professional. It was a such a pleasure staying at the hotel.

Poor Customer Support
Still not yet receive and contact or email about my stay with the hotel almost 2 weeks ago for business. Very frustrated about the whole experience. I have never had any difficulty of receiving a printed or emailed receipt. All hotels I had stayed before automatically email to me the details without delay, even I was not a member. Impression was not very good as this was the very first time I ever stayed at this hotel and it was simply for it's convenience of attending the conference.

Outstanding service
A wonderful hotel, its magic personified by none other than staff member Mariana Cruz. I don't write as many reviews as I should, but Mariana truly goes above and beyond for her guests, ensuring we all feel comfortable, that operations run smoothly, and responding quickly and thoroughly during a minor crisis that would have completely ruined my stay if it wasn't for Mariana's calm, level-headed and caring responsiveness in a stressful situation. Mariana is a true ambassador for the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge; her delightful character, exceptional professionalism, problem-solving capacity, and positivity make her exemplary at what she does and made a huge difference to all of us during our stay for the CDKL5 Forum: a hugely important conference bringing together top researchers, clinicians and families as we strive for treatments and curative options for this rare neurodevelopmental disease that impacts children's and their family's lives across the world.

No heat in my room
Generally nice, but I experienced some issues with my room and then poor customer service in response, No heat in my room, cold air only. Called for help and was told someone would be right there. 45 minutes later, no one showed up. I called the front desk again to cancel the service request, I wanted to go to bed due to an early flight. At this point I got attitude from the front desk, and had no heat in my room. In addition, the bathroom sink didn’t drain. Caused issues with shaving and brushing my teeth. I expect more for a $380 per night room, specifically heat and great customer's service.
