My daughter and I went to The Lake House for the day to enjoy the outdoor sauna experience. We had an amazing time. It was one of the coldest days of the year, and it was so invigorating to do 15-minute sessions in the sauna with one to two minute breaks in between, cooling off outside with crushed ice and cold water. So refreshing and cleansing. There were honey facials and there was lots of herbal spray. Truly, it’s been the highlight of our winter so far. And Tricia did a wonderful job taking care of us. Explaining how to get the most from the experience and checking on us in the sweetest ways to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. After the sauna, we slipped into the hot tub to enjoy the last afternoon sun and mist on Canandaigua Lake. Highly recommend.

The facial that we both got at the Spa at the Lake House by Norma was beyond great. She is a true professional and she was extremely attentive to our needs and made sure along the way that we were comfortable. She is truly talented and we left feeling renewed. Thank you NORMA!

Whoever is the Gardner/landscaper for the property, he or she should be commended for their imagination and creativity. The property, from season to season, is beautiful. I have been coming to this property since it open… literally the week of. It’s becoming apparent that the management team has changed and with this change has brought a noticeable difference in attitude, culture and service — from the front desk to housekeeping. This was an exceptional getaway with impeccable service and attention to detail. Other than for the facilities, I, as a guest, feel unappreciated and sometimes unwelcome. It’s disappointing.

Our anniversary get away at the Lake House was absolutely perfect. The weather could not have been better, the grounds were decorated with hundreds of pumpkins ! Stayed in a canal view room with a great view of the lake as well. Had a great breakfast …. Coming from Canada, (exchange rate ) this was a very expensive one night vaca, but all said and done, you get what you pay for. No complaints start to finish!!

Using their online site to book one room for a night came to $411 (no special promotion - this was their standard price online). I then had a question regarding my booking as I was paying for a client to stay the night, upon connecting with them, the guy I spoke with said the booking would be $489 and as I asked him why it didn't line up with the what's online he hung up on me. I called again and got a different person, and as I was explaining that I called earlier and got disconnected, she cut me off and wanted to know what I was calling for. I then started from the beginning asking for one room for one night, she then told me that it would be $527 for the night. We got three different prices within ten minutes - as I was trying to figure out why this was, she then got very aggressive and hung up the phone. I've always heard they had horrible customer service, but to experience it first hand - they are absolutely horrible!
