Best facial by Norma that I have ever had

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The facial that we both got at the Spa at the Lake House by Norma was beyond great. She is a true professional and she was extremely attentive to our needs and made sure along the way that we were comfortable. She is truly talented and we left feeling renewed. Thank you NORMA!

Beautiful location and facilities, but…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Whoever is the Gardner/landscaper for the property, he or she should be commended for their imagination and creativity. The property, from season to season, is beautiful. I have been coming to this property since it open… literally the week of. It’s becoming apparent that the management team has changed and with this change has brought a noticeable difference in attitude, culture and service — from the front desk to housekeeping. This was an exceptional getaway with impeccable service and attention to detail. Other than for the facilities, I, as a guest, feel unappreciated and sometimes unwelcome. It’s disappointing.

Fantastic Fall Getaway

Our anniversary get away at the Lake House was absolutely perfect. The weather could not have been better, the grounds were decorated with hundreds of pumpkins ! Stayed in a canal view room with a great view of the lake as well. Had a great breakfast …. Coming from Canada, (exchange rate ) this was a very expensive one night vaca, but all said and done, you get what you pay for. No complaints start to finish!!

Horrible Customer Service!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Using their online site to book one room for a night came to $411 (no special promotion - this was their standard price online). I then had a question regarding my booking as I was paying for a client to stay the night, upon connecting with them, the guy I spoke with said the booking would be $489 and as I asked him why it didn't line up with the what's online he hung up on me. I called again and got a different person, and as I was explaining that I called earlier and got disconnected, she cut me off and wanted to know what I was calling for. I then started from the beginning asking for one room for one night, she then told me that it would be $527 for the night. We got three different prices within ten minutes - as I was trying to figure out why this was, she then got very aggressive and hung up the phone. I've always heard they had horrible customer service, but to experience it first hand - they are absolutely horrible!

Beautiful property, great service, a little slice of heaven

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes and the Lake House did not disappoint. We stayed in a Cottage Room with windows on two sides and views of the canal and the lake. The room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Unlike most hotels, the a/c was a constant quiet hum so it did not keep us awake. We couldn't hear any other guests and found the bed very comfortable. We ate at the Rose Tavern for breakfast, relaxed in the library bar, ate in the Sand Bar, and enjoyed the many seating areas across the property. We also had a fantastic experience at the spa. The gardens on the property are lovely and we felt so relaxed on our (almost) week-long stay. We were sad to leave but look forward to visiting again!
