This is our fourth visit to the beautiful hotel! We love the fact that it's situated off the main drag and, to be honest, we just enjoy lazing around the six pools (including great, heated 'adults only' pool for lengths swimming!) and relaxing! We always have a garden villa; beautiful detached suites in the gardens, each with its own jacuzzi. The suites are spacious and benefit from a walk in wardrobe / dressing room. We make full use of the spa for massages and love the three thalasso water circuits. The new Italian restaurant is authentic and has superb food! The long-standing fish restaurant has moved with the times and offers well-presented food, including meat dishes if you wish. The buffet, whilst well stocked, strikes I feel to keep food replenished and at the right temperature. Having said that, the different themes each night add variation and interest. I particularly enjoy the chef's station, where food is cooked to order. The Golden Bar has a lovely atmosphere, although the service is often challenged by a shortage of perhaps just one more waiter. Too often people (sadly often Brits) go to the bar, rather than what for table service. This means the bar person is stopped from mixing drinks and the table service slows down!!! Table service only please!!!! In general a great hotel with immensely friendly and professional staff! Definite kudos to the following (I'd name more but many of the name badges were unreadable - maybe clearer badges to give everyone recognition?): Oscar - Golden Bar Roberto Alvaro - Italian Restaurant Rikki Pedro Monserrat Esteban Sara - meet and greet buffet Laura - meet and greet buffet Maria - reception Thank you all - see you next year!

Excellent staff and lovely rooms very clean and well maintained. I had an aqua dance class and Latin dancing with Lily great teacher and lots of fun. Pool and sun beds perfect towels more than enough, six pools to chose from! The only downside its position on a very steep, hill so you have to be active or take a taxi into town.

We have now been to this hotel eight times and really like it. It is not too large and a short distance away from the seafront which we like. You have to walk up a hill from the beach promenade to get to it but we like that as well although others may not. The food and service are wonderful and the staff are really friendly in all departments. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be returning again.

This hotel has soul, enveloping you in a warm effortless welcome that feels genuine and unforced despite the ongoing global drag of masks, sanitiser and social distancing. The decor is classic high-end contemporary Spanish with quiet, corners and the sound of water fountains never far away. But its the staff that make this hotel a memory, they are total professionals but so friendly, attentive and charming all the while. My lockdown stunted kids came alive with their fun loving nature. The beds are huge like the rooms and you never hear your neighbours. We fly home tomorrow to baltic conditions, sad to leave this place, its people and its sunsets behind. UPDATE We stayed six sun filled days to escape the cold at home and found the hotel to be just as nice as it was those years ago. Its quiet, peaceful and a joy to relax in. We were just as sad to leave this time as before.

Amazing hotel. If you are after a relaxing holiday this is the place to stay. We were upgraded to a Royal Suite with amazing views of the sea. The room was spotless with Clarins products in the bathroom. Beds super comfy. The hotel is peaceful and quiet. Food and drinks from the pool bar are great if you are relaxing by the pool and don't want to move. Pools are clean, 3 are heated. Gym small but well equipped. We got a free spa pass and spent a lovely 2 hours there. Breakfast buffet is amazing with plenty of choice. We ate out each night and there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Like others have said the hotel is on top of a hill that may not suit everyone but was not a problem for our family and helped us burn off our tiramisu on the walk home. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and really do make the stay special so a big thanks to them. Would love to return!
