Kempinski Hotel Cancun

The place is absolutely incredible. Yes very expensive indeed, but very much worth it. The quality of service, the quality of the food, the views, overall experience there…amazing. You can’t go wrong if you try; if you want some unforgettable vacation, flawless experience: this is the place. The place is very well managed, well staffed, location is beachfront, a couple of miles away from the clubs/noise if you’re into that. Can’t say enough great things about it, very happy we chose this place to stay.

Hotel is gorgeous - but is looking a tiny bit worn is some places. Servies was excellent - especially from the Club level staff. Restaurant choices a bit limited - but plenty nearby. Beach is beautiful. Pool staff very nice and accomodating.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The staff was exceptional, as were our dining experiences and the care of the resort. We had a very minor incident with a bathroom appliance and it was fixed in minutes. The staff makes you feel like you are their only guest. Also, the width of their beachfront is amazing. Very wide, unlike many other resorts. We hope to be fortunate enough one day to stay at another Kempinski resort.

I debated going here because of negative reviews and grateful I didn’t pay attention to them. This is a superb hotel with 5 star service. It’s fairly close to the airport. The room we had was a double bed room facing the pool. The pool is stunning and the beach is steps away from the hotel. The food is exceptional and we received breakfast complimentary each day. The staff in the hotel are incredible . We met some loyal staff that have worked on the property for 25 years. Osman was our waiter and he takes a bus every morning from his home and it takes 2 hours each way. That is loyalty to a job. The gym is fantastic and has everything you need to workout. It happened to be very windy and there was no shade by the pool but that’s not the hotels fault. The beach does have seaweed but it’s soft sand. The only minor annoyance is they charge 30 dollars a day for shade on the beach. For the amount we pay that should be included. Also the spa is was too expensive. 200 for an hour of massage. I’d consider lower the price for patrons - otherwise they go elsewhere for massages (which we did). Otherwise fantastic hotel

This hotel used to be a Ritz Carlton property, so definitely the establishment is beautiful. We traveled as a family and booked 2 rooms. We had unrelated flight delays, upon arrival all front staff and concierge were aware of this issue and made sure we feel comfortable after all the inconveniences we went through . I would like to give special thanks to Louis and Margarita for making sure our travel plans didn’t get ruined by the flight delay. The hotel front desk did their best to accommodate us and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms are quite large, nicely decorated, and very comfortable All rooms are see view which was amazing. We didn’t expect less of a Ritz former building. Breakfast is very good , would give it an 8/10. That’s because it’s almost the same every day so it gets boring. Not too many options for the picky eaters. Although Sunday brunch was a delight. The breakfast crew work very hard making sure your table is kept clean and bring anything you might need. The smile was the common theme among the breakfast crew and it does make a difference. For lunch and late snacks we tried 3 of their restaurants and generally speaking food taste and quality is average and is quite pricey ! Beach staff are very hard workers and extremely polite. We especially enjoyed our pickleball time, again nice staff that had everything ready for us. For travellers: a great hotel with excellent customer service. For Management: Not sure if Kempinski is supposedly running this hotel at a Ritz Carlton level, since the prices are pretty much the same! For that , here are minor details to management that might help you get there - concierge : offer guests towels and cold water bottles on their way out in case they are out for the day - offering a welcome drink or a treat at check in would always a nice touch. - beach staff: offer guests cold towels or frozen shots/fruits every now and then as a nice gesture. -offer sunscreen and aloe on your way to the beach. ( some were offered in a hidden spot at one of the pools) -after second room service TV should be turned on. Thank you for an amazing time, we enjoyed the property , and will definitely be back.
