Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel

I travel a lot and was very impressed by the Carlton, where I last stayed some twenty years ago. The hotel is still managed by Intercontinental but now under the top Regent brand (I think there are only two so far in Europe). The renovation has kept the essence of the hotel, but everything is now fresher and updated. The garden is a nice addition with a pool that is heated (but not serviced in the winter). The new fitness room is spectacular (sauna and steam room are nothing special). The Riviera restaurant was great for lunch and breakfast (best buffet ever and fantastic service). I also loved the pastries in the tea lounge and the live band at the bar in the evening. Very luxurious sea view room with great detailing, also for the toiletries, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities. Garden view room would also be nice and less expensive. Superior service from doormen to reception, housekeeping and waiters. Like elsewhere on the Côte d’Azur, prices vary a lot, depending on the season. Winter is more affordable and much quieter (weather is hit and miss), but the Turkish restaurant is closed and there is of course no beach with the great Carlton beach club.

One of the most beautiful hotels on the Cote d'Azur! The service is top notch, the cleanliness is perfect, the breakfast is luxurious and the restaurant in general. The best chefs in France! The staff is friendly and polite. Beautiful and well-kept garden. Clean pool with warm water. Royal hotel! Bravo!

Never seen better example like Carlton Cannes. Many more positive things to say but my experience was beyond perfection. Especially the F&B Service staff's always-smiling beautiful faces made me feel very happy and relaxed. Definitely I have had no zero negative moment. So thank you all of the staff from the Doormen to the Top manager.

I travel around the world spending lots of nights in 5* hotels, but what the Carlton Cannes writes in your memory is the experience of the very best. And after its full recent renovation it has become the real place to be, without any doubts. From the check-in, to the numerous services available, and last but not least its restaurant with excellent food variety and top quality. Every person of the staff reflects the love for the Grand Dame Carlton, which is shown in every moment with a genuine smile
