Reviews for Cape Grace

Great hotel stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Had a wonderful stay at the Cape Grace hotel in the Victoria Alfred Waterfront area of Cape Town. It’s a great location, close to many eateries, a lot of activities and some great shopping. The hotel itself has a very impressive restaurant and friendly staff. The room was clean, well maintained, and comfy. We stayed three nights and were very content during our visit. The views from the waterfront room were nice and it was very quiet. We were mere footsteps from breakfast/lunch/dinner options, and many activities including the aquarium, Ferris Wheel, boat/harbir excursions and a lot of photo opportunities. The room came equipped with coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, refrigerator, and plenty of plug ins for devices. We also had comfortable robes to wear as we unwind from our day. Thank you, Cape Grace & staff members!

Amazingly beautiful hotel in Cape Town

Cape Grace is the Best hotel in Cape Town. It is in the perfect location, in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, very secure, huge rooms with the best views of the harbor or Table Mountain, and the best, most accommodating service! This hotel is a must stay while in Cape Town. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! Their breakfast was also phenomenal and included! Special shout out to the most amazing Nicole, who was beyond helpful in making our stay the best, as well as the servers at breakfast who showed phenomenal customer service and care and made us want to come back and stay at Cape Grace anytime we’re in Cape Town, Sinaso, Trevor, Letty, and Janine! You will not regret choosing to stay at Cape Grace!

The best!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Truly one of the best hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying in - and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels! Everything was faultless. Our room overlooked Table Mountain (what a view to wake up to!) and was so well appointed - high-end toiletries, wonderfully soft bed linen, fluffy towels & robes, etc etc. Perfect. The breakfast was always amazing - great fresh juices & perfectly poached eggs - and always served with a smile. The downstairs bar is such a cool vibe & serves the BEST spicy margaritas. Superb location right next to the V&A Waterfront with a huge selection of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, markets, music, etc. Literally everything you need within walking distance. Worth pointing out that I never once felt threatened or unsafe when out & about. This hotel is simply top-notch, but the best thing about it is the staff. Without exception EVERYONE from the doorman, the porter, check-in staff, concierge, waiting staff, chefs, etc etc - THEY ARE FANTASTIC & they are what makes this hotel one of the very best!

Exceptional Hotel

Where to start? Hotel is beautiful, rooms are lovely, staff are exemplary, bars and food are superb. The hotel is positioned splendidly close to the V&A waterfront. All the major attractions of Cape Town are easily accessed. Cape Town is inexpensive and there are great eateries within an easy stroll of the Hotel.

THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN CAPE TOWN!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Wow, what a property, what history, what style and the #1 takeaway - what personalization! No wonder guests come back over and over and over. Absolutely gorgeous decor and detail throughout the entire property, rooms, common area and the outside areas on the water, including the very well appointed pool area. Loved it! **2024 I returend with two back to back groups and after a #15 day stay in the destination this was voted their favorite by ALL of them! The rooms, the spa, the service, the restaurants and bars ALL surpassed my expectations and I am so glad it was my first stop for my two groups on my itinerary. I was a bit anxious about Fairmont's changes to the classic vibe of the original Cape and although it is definitely different, Fairmonts bring their own level of class and staff shared they welcomed the improvements/changes. This property will ALWAYS be on my itineraries for myself and clients.
