We arrived at Cape Grace after a long two leg journey from London, the journey from the airport (on a Sunday) was only 30 mins and the check-in team were very welcoming and swift (one minor note the bags took a little while to be delivered to the room which is a bit of a pain when you want to freshen up before dinner). They upgraded our room, balcony and lovely view over the V and A harbour area. it was large, well appointed with a dressing room and storage area as well as large bathroom with separate toilet. The restaurant at least for breakfast was excellent, with a good buffet and great menu selection (Lisa particularly would recommend Halloumi Savoury Oats bowl .. a revelation! …. or the Mushroom Rosti) and again very attentive staff. In fact generally the team at the hotel were excellent (helping us out when we had the wrong adapters and identifying we were heading Avis downtown and arranging a (free) transfer with Ricky for us. All in all a great property and would recommend on quality of rooms, restaurant, location (V and A waterfront is vibrant) and the hotel team.

I stayed at Cape Grace with my wife and 11 month old daughter for a week in January. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the experience was outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our daughter with a play tent, cot, sterilising equipment, nappy bin and baby monitor all provided for us and ready in the room upon arrival. The hotel has been recently renovated to an incredibly high standard including the fastest filling bath I have ever encountered in my life. We had multiple meals in the restaurant and from room service and thought the quality and variety was great. The concierge was always on hand to support on multiple fronts. This included helping us to organise a babysitter so we could go out for dinner to organising complementary taxis within 10km of the hotel. A final word to the staff who were all highly professional, friendly and helpful. If you are first time visitor to Cape Town like me, I would highly recommend Cape Grace.

A good, classic hotel with a great location and beautiful common areas. Pool area is a bit small and the staff tended to mix up orders and forget things etc. Always friendly but perhaps not so experienced in hospitality. Food was ok but nothing special. But all in all a good choice. not least for its proximity to the Waterfront.
