We came to Carlsbad as a Thanksgiving beach getaway and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The Thanksgiving dinner served at Chandler's was excellent, as were all of the meals we enjoyed. We especially enjoyed walking the beach each day and seeing the most gorgeous sunsets!.

This is our second visit to Cape Rey Carlsbad. We were here for July 4th and couldn't wait to come back for our Thanksgiving Break. Loved the easy beach access for walking along the shore. Really enjoyed the pool area, especially the spa in the mornings. A great way to begin the day!

The room accommodation was good. A bit small. But nice. Room service needs work. I had to call the front desk for fresh towels and other items like coffee etc and to take out the trash. Our room was ignored. Not what I expected from Cape Rey. The valet service was great. They took me to my presentation and picked me up. Great service. The other hotel where the presentation took place couldn't accommodate me at all. Very disappointed. With the presentation explaining that the hotels were superior in hospitality, they fell short of living up to thier name. (HILTON) Cape Rey has nice accommodations. Close to other restaurants and shops. The morning view of the beach was very nice. No heated pool. Staff was helpful and polite. I didn't purchase the hotel vacation ownership. Needs work. Thank you. The property is nice and clean. However, it's not an adults-only place. Kids show up and they are loud. But the ocean-view room was great (thanks, Michelle, for the upgrade!). The meals were fine. It was a pleasant stay. I would go back in a heartbeat.

In October, we enjoyed a one-night escape at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach. Deba and Michelle at the front desk provided outstanding service, adding to our experience. With free bike rentals, $30 daily food credits each (thanks to Diamond status), and no out-of-pocket costs—including the $30 parking fee—we made the most of the card’s perks. A great stay, and we’re already planning our next resort getaway for July–December!
