Reviews for Omni La Costa Resort and Spa

Recommend staying but BEWARE of your bill. It could be wrong.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Good accommodation. Housekeeping and valet was friendly and helpful. Front desk was a hit or miss. Check in and extending my stay went smoothly. Check out was a DISASTER. Check your bills especially if you get a young man who is pretentious. He got my bill wrong (double billed). I questioned it. He never responded to my questions but corrected the bill. No acknowledgment of the error or apology. Seemed he was too big for his britches. I probably would stay again; my kids liked the water slide. But pay attention to your bill. I wouldn't have noticed if the number had not been so off.

Memories to last a lifetime

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Me and my sisters took our mom for a recreation of a girls weekend we had 7 years ago. Our mom is 92 and getting some memory issues, but she does remember that trip 7 years ago and talks about it all the time, “remember girls that place where we wore the robes ?”. So we let the staff know what we were doing, spa day, dinner, etc at the same places, same services. The staff was amazing Genevieve had our room all set up with photos streamed across the wall in our room upon arrival to help with her memory, balloons, and cake for her BD. It was more than we dreamed of. The entire stay was a better than we imagined. Thank you LaCosta.

Huge resort with Twilight Zone experience.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

The Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad was a just ok stay for my parents and I. The resort is HUGE and we saw most of the 8 pools. Due to the chilly weather, we didn’t get in any of them. Our room was a junior suite and it was HUGE with high ceilings. The bathroom was incredibly large, too. The room was clean, but it felt really empty compared to how big it is. The whole resort just seemed large and empty with nothing really to do. The staff were all friendly enough and knowledgeable…the resort just felt off. We couldn’t put our finger on why everything felt like we were in The Twilight Zone during our stay.

World class resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This is a beautiful hotel in a magnificent location. The grounds and landscaping are a site to see! Restaurants are very good. You can play tennis or golf on a champion course, lift weights in the gym, or just enjoy walking around the many gardens. Several swim pools and a children’s pool with slides. The spa is world class. My wife and our family have stayed at La Costa several times and never disappointed. You will love the comfort of the beds

Great outdoors but dirty rooms

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The outdoor scenery and landscape were truly stunning. However, I wish I could say the same about the room. Unfortunately, it did not meet the expectations for its price category. The room was poorly maintained and lacked cleanliness. The shower was not functional, the light switches were visibly dirty, and the refrigerator was excessively loud. Additionally, the shampoo bottle was not filled, and the body wash was completely empty.

Used the Edge adult pool for the first time. This really made the trip. I loved the view, the seating, the pool and the number of jacuzzis.
