The hotel might be a little outdated and left for more to be desired. Might have went on the wrong weekend because there was a wedding going on. I did not try a lot of their offerings. I don't see myself going back unless I can reserve Tee time at the resort.

We booked this resort to spend our kids Spring break. The experience was sub par for a "resort" Booking: We booked the stay by calling their booking line. We clearly told them that we were a family of 5. They suggested a King pool suite which was supposed to have a king bed and a queen pullout. The booking agent told us that it was a big 850sqft suite and would work for our family. Checkin and room: When we showed up after 3 PM which is the check in time a room was not ready for us. We had to wait an hour before they told us there was a room ready. During checkin the reception told me that this is their ADA suite and asked if I was ok with that. I said no and what other option did I have they told me this was the only room available. The room itself was OK overall. But the bed in there was not a King bed. It was slightly bigger than a queen but definitely not a king bed. The bathroom was wierd with no shower curtain/door so every time someone took a shower water went all over. The shower diverter for the ADA hand shower did not close completely so some of the water went to both shower heads and there was overall sub optimal water pressure. The pullout was the worst saggy creaky pullout in the history of pull out couches. When we called reception and complained about it they were ready to find us other options. But it was 2 rooms for an additional charge which was beyond what we could spend. The patio was nice but could have used better patio furniture for a suite than 4 spread out chairs and a tiny table. Pool and Slide: The pool and slide is what had made us book this "Resort". The pool was decent and the slide was fun. But they stop the slide at 4:00 PM even when it's nice and warm and there are a whole bunch of families enjoying the pool. For this privilege you are charged a 60$/day resort fee. Food: The poolside bar/restaurant has a great view but the most pathetic food. The drinks were watery and full of artificial flavoring. The food selection was pitiful and tasted even worse. The poolside bar also closed around 4:00 , Not that they had anything that would make me want to stay there longer. I got the feeling that they were trying to push people into the more expensive on-site restaurants by closing it early. Parking: Parking is valet only and they charge an additional $68 per day for it. In room dining: The in room dining choices are limited. But we did end up ordering in a couple of times when the kids were tired after playing in the pool. They charge a delivery fee on each order on top of the already high food price. At that rate we figured out that it was cheaper to order from uber eats and pay the uber delivery fee which was less even when they were bringing us the food from farther away. Other taxes: on top of all this there is the usual junk taxes (occupancy tax, golf tax, city tax, tax on resort fees) which are never disclosed at booking time that amounted to about 20% more than what the sticker nightly rate we were given. Amenities: Don't be fooled by the grand pictures of the resort. The grand fountain and surrounding area was booked for conferences, parties, weddings on all 5 days we were there for so it was off limits/always occupied by vendors setting things up. So the only "resort amenities" you get are the pool area and Gym. All in all this "resort" might as well be a big motel with a slightly larger pool with slides. Definitely not worth the cost if you are looking for a fun and comfortable family vacation.

I haven't stayed yet (booked for the future), but I had extenuating circumstances and they were extremely accommodating in working around everything. It's great to know that when things don't work out as expected that they'll look after you. Service 10/10.

We are currently staying at the Park Hyatt Aviara and having such an incredible experience that I felt compelled to write a review mid-stay. My husband and I, along with our dog, are here celebrating our anniversary and our dog’s birthday. As Los Angeles locals, this has been the perfect staycation. I previously stayed at this property for work back in 2015 and am thrilled to say it’s just as exceptional now as it was then. The resort is expansive and beautifully maintained—we came with the intention of not leaving the property all weekend, and there’s truly no need to. So far, we’ve enjoyed dinner at Ponto Lago, live music in the evening, a scenic hike around the lagoon, a visit to the clubhouse, and a relaxing day in a poolside cabana. We’re looking forward to dinner at Ember & Rye tonight. Both the food and service have been outstanding across the board. One detail we really appreciated is how EV-friendly the resort is. We have an electric vehicle, and charging is included as part of the resort fee. The staff has kept our car charged and ready to go, which made our stay even more seamless. Another highlight has been how pet-friendly the property is. Our dog received the sweetest welcome package, complete with a bed, food and water bowls, and an embroidered bandana. The property also has several pet relief stations and plenty of open green spaces to explore. We’re having such a wonderful time and hope to make this an annual tradition. Highly recommend for couples, pet owners, and anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing Southern California getaway.
