Reviews for Hotel Carmichael, Autograph Collection

A Luxury Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

It started with a Marriott free day voucher about to expire, and ended with an awesome stay at a beautiful hotel. I had never stayed at a Autograph branded hotel and wanted to give it a swing. Boy was the the right choice. I used an about to expire voucher to get 1 day in the Hotel Carmichael for a king bed. Upon arrival I was upgraded -Titanium for life- to a suite. Sadly not the presidential (lol) but WOW what a room they gave me. Dining room, Living room, bedroom, bath and a half and wet bar. And the decor -amazing. This themed hotel hits it out of the park. The furnishings in the room are superior in style and function, right down to the chandeliers in all the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and I struggled to decide where to sit and read or whatever -so many places. Check-in was smooth and easy. Josh was a great at explaining the hotel. They provided a free continental breakfast and $10 off card as part of the Bonvoy membership. Reason being there is NO LOUNGE. Did I miss the lounge? Nah. The breakfast at the Vivante was good. I splurged and had eggs/bacon, bananas foster, and the continental. Service was excellent! The bar/jazz lounge was great. 4pm is the free champagne and at check in they gave me a guitar pick -made of wood- that is for trade in for 1 drink as well. A novelty that was tremendously thought out to tie to the theme. Music was a singer who did time period themed songs. Wonder voices. Seating was very nice as well. Again all out for the furnishings. Art. This is one hotel that is worth walking all the halls. The art hung, the plaques listing famous composers, singers, etc from the time period is worth stopping and reading, viewing. The lobby is stellar! You walk in and KNOW you are in one classy place. They have valet parking, I did not use. There is free parking directly outside the hotel or beneath in a parking garage. All of this was easy access. I did ask for late check out -2pm- just so I could enjoy the room more. Check out was simple as is most all Marriotts. Summary. If you ever get a chance Hotel Carmichael is the place in Indianapolis area. I have over 1900 nights in Marriotts all over the world, some very luxurious, but this was the tops. They stated the design is based on 18th century architecture design. But I would add its a bit more with a feel like 1920's as well. Great place.

Christmas Spirit at Hotel Carmichael

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Hotel Carmichael really added a special touch to our Christmas this year! Our room was lovely. Outstanding customer service! Includes: front desk, valet check in, bar & lounge. The bar area was so comfortable & cozy! The breakfast we had in the hotel before leaving was so delicious! Service was great! We sat at the bar. Bartender was very personable! Only downside was they were out of scones for us to try! NEXT TIME! Looking forward to another stat!

Phenomenal Experience

We were snowed in to this beautiful hotel this weekend and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for from the very beginning. Kyle assisted us with snow removal, and was so kind and thoughtful. Thank you all so much for your amazing attention to detail and a wonderful experience!

Lovely hotel!

Great experience and great hotel! We have stayed here a few times and really enjoy the food, service, and location. The hotel really is so unique for a suburban part of Indianapolis. On this particular visit, we had great service at the bar and from our valet, Jacobi.

Overnight for the Carmel Christmas Market

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel is very nice and the staff was excellent. Free parking was not available so we had to use the valet at $30 per night. Our room was 314 which is right above the ballroom which had a party going on. We called down and the manager was very nice. He offered to move us.
